@@danrockwell1883 those of us who pour more money into our jeeps and take them off road, we need the functionality of those more costly parts vs. what looks good at the local Starbucks on meet night. Anyone can buy stuff from wish to make anything look good at the mall. different strokes for different folks. That being said, you should start off your videos with " first 5 mods for a non off road Jeep" as you may get some that copy your opinion on mods and find they wasted their money if the choose to hit trails that are harder than your average fire road. everyone buys their vehicles for a different purpose. At least you didn't put an angry grill on it with rubber ducks in the dashboard. lol keep on doing what you do, everyone has their path in life.

@@danrockwell1883 I don't think that's it. I think they have a superiority complex pertaining to off-road vs on-road Jeep owners. But you know what? Where I live every other vehicle is an "off-road" Jeep and yet in the past year that I have owned mine I have NEVER seen another Jeep here off-road except for my and my father's Jeep.

just got a 2012 wrangler, thankfully it already had a lift kit, bigger tires and black rims, wench, and a full custom sound system when I bought it

Running 37's with a Dana 30 in the front and 35 in the rear....brilliant.

If your going to lift it and put on tires I would suggest either front lower control arm drop brackets or adjustable control arms. The ride and handling is so much better.

Running boards were my first mod love them

I’m getting one next month from my dad. Completely stock! Looking forward to enhancing it

First mod I’m making on my ‘21 JLU Sahara is changing the running boards. No offense to people who like them, but I think the factory ones look soooo cheap, and throw off the look of the body-matched fenders and roof. Next will be 33s on 18s, maybe a lift. Great video!

Had my Rubicon a week and just ordered new running boards.

Got 2 inch lift, 35" on my Rubicon, and I love the Jeep Modular steel bumber (was a great option). Winch is a MUST (was my FIRST) and added a brush guard that protects teh winch a bit more. AS for Running boards, I'd get the ones that double as rock rails as well. Having said that, my jeep (a '21 JL Rubicon unlimited hybrid (4xe) was able to do Hell's Revenge in Moab stock! (THink the electric engine helped a lot!) but the 35" tires and lift make it so rock rails and underrside armor don't scrape as much! NIce Jeep! I'd add a winch to it :) Maybe some extra lights? (which I plan to do to mine next)

I just got a 2018 JL like this in March. I’m wanting to do mods on mine too as a daily driver.

Undecided I really wanna go with a 4 inch lift on my 2015 jk Sahara but I’m not sure what would look best I love the wide tire look !!!

My stock Jeep is pretty badass I'd say. I plan on a 2.5-in lift and bigger tires when my radials wear out. But she's badass as-is.

My family has been buying, selling, modifying and racing Jeeps since 1953. This video is nothing but bad information on how to properly set up a Jeep.

Thanks man. This comment above cracks me up lol. His Jeep may perform better off road but that’s not my goal. If you want a solid looking jeep for an affordable price and don’t go off-roading all the time, you definitely can follow my advice.

If it's your first 4x4 and you plan to off road, add heavy duty tire carrier and a way to carry fuel outside. Learn to use it before you start lifting. Join a 4x4 club or find friends to 4 wheel with, don't go alone. Buy some recovery equipment. Drive it until tires are about half gone, by then your experience level will be much better. I like the suggestion to improve the rocker guards, stock ones aren't much good for protection.

Yeah if you plan on doing off roading, don’t do what I do lol mine is mostly for looks. I have more clearance which is great but ultimately it’s built for the road and light trails for camping/hunting.

@@danrockwell1883 camping and hunting can get you into rain, snow, tight roads. The mods done on your jeep are fine for the unexpected. Plus, this ain't your first rodeo, that's why your mods fit your needs. Newbees on the other hand need a little more info before they do tires, lifts, etc. Aftermarket mods on a brand new jeep can void warranty, gas carried inside behind the seat can cause headaches.

Yeah my first few times out with my 22 rubicon gladiator was a little nerve racking. When decide to go make sure to first take it through some brush and get desert pinstripes..... it's going to happen so just get it done.....then start small and work your way up.... when you find out what your jeep is capable of you'll be hooked .... you'll only tear up your rig if you do things you shouldn't be doing....oh.... but you'll definitely tear up those tires and rims...... need more side wall....

What kit still clears a standard garage door? Will your jeep fit in your standard garage? I ask because here, it's -30F with the wind 2 months of the year, and i drive a stick.. So no remote start.. And before anyone chimes in.. E-Brakes freeze in the winter, so it has to be in gear..

You missed the most important mod of all - change the headlights to Euro headlight lens with HID bulbs!!! Even the JL factory projector LED headlights cannot compare!

Id buy the 3.5 inch from rough country. Way cheaper and will look great with 35’s.

I also went to my Dodge Jeep ram dealership and fire stone tires but so indecisive on what kind of tires to get but I want the look. Lol fire stone told me that they don’t think they will fit it in some of the tires that I looked at. If you want to best bang for your buck, order Venom Power XT’s, there’s not the best but there the best cheap tire and look great.

The bumper is by DV8 and unfortunately I think they discontinued. Wheels are by XF OFFROAD. They're amazing!

If you get the 2.5 $200 one it’ll be stock just higher. You can get a 2.5 or 3.5 from rough country with the upgraded shocks and coils. I’ve never had an issue with them. Best bang for you buck!

Go zone 4 inch or jks 3.5 if you can afford it,but if not the rc spacer lift Dan recommend is your best bet !

Zone only made a lift kit for JK Wranglers. The JLs to my knowledge is a spacer lift only. @@Wisdom_Eqauls_Power

Rite so many questions I’m indecisive as well. I’m looking for a new pair feet or shoes should I say but I don’t have a lift kit but they say that you can get a 33 inch tire without a lift kit. I really don’t want to do too much manufactory I had a jeep Compas a jeep latitude Cherokee then I just got this jeep so I’ll trade my car is in very often so but I do want to change the factory tires

You have to get them paint matched by a shop unfortunately. They don’t come paint matched.

I like Sahara, less than a rubicon and everything you can ask for inside. If you plan on doing a ton of off roading, it may be worth getting the rubicon because it comes with a better gear ratio for big tires and upgrades suspension. Sport you can make badass too but may miss out on some goodies. No wrong answer

Does lift w 35” tyres void oem warranty?

😂 sway bar links and rake on the ball joints are critical no matter the lift height.

Just think about it, they weigh more and take more force to spin and less aerodynamic. Bigger tires = less gas mileage
