It is Mexican culture. The Mexican vaqueros invented the roping techniques and the saddle head (horn) to tie the rope

Lol white people likes to appropriate culture.. I bet they dont even know buckaroo is just the wrong way to say vaquero which is cowboy in spanish lol and they really believe they also invented chili con carne, chili beans and rodeos lol they really believe all those old Hollywood movies. Wait until they find out Native Americans invented the lasso and it comes from the word lazo and the cowboy hats also originated in northern Mexico. They copied the whole outfit.. bandanas, boots and even the chaps. The only contribution to the culture was the blue jeans and better guns lols.. also there was more black cowboys than white cowboys..

@@ccchk1 Sorry for the paragragh I know I'm late to this and don't know if you will ever see this but you kind of wrong in some cases first the rodeo. It was developed in Mexico but it was mainly Spanish conquistadors and Mexican settlers that participated not native Mexicans. Next, The lasso was originally developed in Egypt and there are accounts of Huns using it in battle. In North America, Mexican Cattle ranchers did develop the technique but Indians did not use lassos. The origin of Cowboy hat was a combination of military slouch hats and the traditional Mexican Vaquero hat. The hats typically worn nowadays are different than the traditional Mexican Vaquero hats. Also if we go all the way back Mongolian Cav wore the first hat of that style. Since it's got long I will not do the long-winded history. Chaps- Orinally Used in southern Spain by hunters and Vanqueros, not Mexico. Boots Were brought by Spain not Mexico and they were adapted in America and the design changed. The bandana dates back to the late 17th century used in the Middle East and South East Asia. Also, there wasn't much difference between Vaqueros and American Cowboys there still isn't we are all cowboys sharing a lifestyle that is slowly dying. TL:DR a lot of clothing used nowadays was used before that doesn't make it cultural appropriation it just means it was well designed so it was able to last through time
