FamilySearch's Full Text Search helped me find an enslaved ancestor. It also showed when the family moved from NC to MS. I can now confirm dates!
As soon as you announced it from RootsTech, I went into Family search and tried the full text searching. Wow! Quite a few new records appeared for the ancestor I was searching. Thank you!
Just found 20 land records for great grandfather in 1880s, even eminent domain seizure to make way for erie canal expansion. would never have known that. total game changer.
Thanks for the summary of new updates that's becoming available. Full text is going to be very useful. From Derbyshire UK

I uploaded my tree and DNA yesterday to My Heritage. They also have the subscription 1/2 off.
Thankyou very much Amy
Thank you for the updates! I tried out the full text search earlier today.

I think these sites add features like a wiki because it’s a trending module to have and they’ve probably had a bunch of people asking for it because it’s generally expected now.
Late to viewing this, from Virginia (USA)
I'm new here but not new to genealogy! Full text search is very exciting! I wonder if they have the full text transcribed and readable on each document. I like to transcribe and create searchable word documents and this would be a big time saver.

Darn! Wish I didn't have to work. It's 4pm my time :(
Thank you very much for the summary! I'm looking forward to the release of these new tools. MyHeritage had the filter by ethnicity and community but unfortunately they disabled it 😞 Hopefully, it's going to come back with the new ethnicity update.

Go to FamilySearch.org and sign in. On the main page, scroll down a little bit and look for "FamilySearch Labs" on the right hand side of the page. If the box isn't open, click the arrow next to the words "FamilySearch Labs," then click "View Experiments."
