Bryan. This was great man. Really loving the work you do. That finger snap set up =fantastic. The explanations are so relaxed. So easy to watch and understand. Great stuff.

Woah the snaps are so cool
A quick correction. At 4:13 you say players earn points for removing pieces implying that warriors give VP. Not quite accurate. Normally warriors defeated in battle do not give VP. However, if the Vagabond is hostile with a faction they, and only they, will earn one extra VP per hostile faction piece removed in battle, thus warriors are one VP and buildings and tokens are worth 2 VP when removed in battle. Nice review otherwise, enjoy the playful edits at the setup, would watch more!

Good catch, almost. Buildings and tokens are worth 1 VP not 2 VP. [Law of Root page 3. Para 3.2.1]. He did omit the Maximum Rolled Hits rule [Law of Root, page 4, para 4.3.2]. The maximum hits you can deal from rolling equals the number of your warriors in the clearing of battle, whether you are the attacker or defender.

@@henrykorvus6954 typically factions receive 1VP for removing a token/building, but the Vagabond earns this original 1VP as well as an additional VP once hostile. So, the Vagabond specifically gets 1VP per hostile warrior removed and 2VP total per token or buildings
Bill Watterson art - that’s totally it! I knew it felt so familiar
Love the Christian books on the shelf. : ) Fantastic review, Bryan.

Jonathan George thanks man!
well we certainly have fallen in love with this game. Scythe was our go to jam, but I think we're makin the swap once we get the expansion.

Root is much better game then scythe imho...
There is an animated tv-show based on one or more of the books. It was my favourite show when I was about 10 years old back in 2002. Great stuff! Can't wait to try my copy of Root!

I used to watch it on PBS or KVCR don't remember.
I thought the same thing when I played it! I'm in the beta testing for the Redwall PC game now!
Hi Bryan, thank you for the book title. I homeschool our 4. I would love to read this book to them and in the future play root. Would you have a suggestion for lead up games, to get them ready and to understand the game play better? From kids, to family games? I would love to eventually play this as a family game when they get a little older (the oldest two are almost ready they just might need a few plays of similar easier games to get some of the mechanisms first...)
Do you see any merit with the concerns susd and no pun have expressed about the about game? I know you and Tom love it.
Thank you for a great review video. Root looks soooo cool. I really want to buy it and play it, but... #toomanygamestoolittletime #toomanygamestoolittlemoney :(
Just like David Blaine, no camera tricks were used in this episode.

Dope yeah I definitely give pros and cons in the final thoughts. It’s a long video so maybe you missed the end thoughts.
