Root Chakra Yoga Nidra 40 Minutes for Deep Rest

Root Chakra Yoga Nidra
Welcome to this yoga nidra for the Root Chakra or Muladhara Chakra. Relax deeply into this grounding guided meditation to connect to and to balance the first chakra of the 7 chakra system.
Yoga nidra is an effortless form of guided meditation with techniques used to bring you into a deep light altered state of consciousness, a state of wakeful sleep or conscious sleep. In these deeper sleep states, one experiences the most regenerative forms of healing and deep rest. While maintaining an acute sense of awareness in these deeper sleep states, we can open up the doors to the subconscious mind and plant the seed of intention or Sankulpa. Connecting to the earthy qualities of Root Chakra here, you can affirm that you are safe, grounded, support, and at home within oneself.
This 40 minute practice invites you to connect to Muladhara through imagery and visualization. This chakra resonates with and is represented by the colour of deep earthy red. Imagine a glowing orb of red light at the base of the spine, the region or home of Muladhara, and imagine this grounding red light energy begin to grow and grow, filling you up with the nourishing therapeutic qualities of Mother Earth. Cultivating a sense of body and breath awareness, you are invited to rediscover a connection to Self, the body, breath, but also the earth beneath you, the landscape around you, and a sense of belonging here within the universal energy web. You are an integral part of the whole.
Muladhara reminds us of what it feels like to be grounded, to be connected, to feel safe, secure, supported, held, whole, and at peace within. It encourages us to establish a strong foundation by ensuring all of our basic needs are met - food, water, shelter, and feeling at home within oneself and with your place in the world. Once our needs are met and we feel safe, we can then allow the upper chakras to open and come into balance, giving us a sense of being able to flow through life with ease.
Emerge from this practice feeling grounded, connected, rested, and with a renewed sense of wholeness within. Step back into your waking state feeling at home on the earth and in your body.

Hi Kristyn, I have had post viral fatigue syndrome for two years, at it’s worst for the last 12 months. I found Ally a year ago when I was told to start doing yoga Nidra to help my recovery. It has been amazing and wonderful to find you about six weeks ago now to. I wondered can you do yoga nidra for organs or specific organs? I keep getting told how hard my liver is working and I just thought I’d reach out and ask about the possibility. Thank you so much. It’s amazing to do yoga Nidra with you and Ally every day ❤

Hi Kristen. I’m currently in India receiving Ayurvedic treatments and have been listening to your nidras for the past few months. I’m a long time practitioner and teacher and I really connect with your feminine energy. I have been experiencing some deep trauma release. Thank you. 🙏🏼 Today one of the Ayurvedic doctors told me we are working on balancing Apana Vayu in me. Would you be willing and able to put together a 30-45 minute yoga nidra for Apana Vayu? Sincere gratitude and deep thanks for your work. You’ve got a gift.

Thank you so much for this reflection and feedback. Yoga nidra truly is such a profound practice that can offer us the tools to develop a deep sense of resiliency to be able to take a step back, observe, and decide instead, which direction we wish our life to go. I do recommend exploring a yoga nidra to develop your Inner Resource or Inner Refuge (Asraya) (see link below), which can give you a strong foundation and a refuge to come back to any time those unhelpful thoughts or feeling tones surface. It has been a transformative tool for me in my life. Also, you can start to develop a specific intention (Sankulpa) that focuses your attention on what you do want and takes energy away from what you don't want (negative emotions). Perhaps, even simply to begin, I am happy, healthy, and calm. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pXdrsaWfesW9g7Q.html
