Can we just give some appreciation to Alex right now? The man has been absolutely crushing it in a Williams car and has always been so level headed and calm within each race. It’s kind of sad hearing him say that he thought he wasn’t well thought of in comparison to George and Lando, but he truly is an amazing driver. Well done Alex, you’ve always got my support!

@@aj897 nothing to do with being extraverted, it's just being a bit overbearing and explaining rather detailed and structured what is going on. Regular person: I was hungry so I ate George: so I felt that at that moment in time it was crucial to fetch some comestibles to combat a growing sense of peckishness that took hold of me. I then proceeded to careful plan my trip to the kitchen and made sure that my hunger was stilled in a timely manner.

Plus its quite rare that all top 3 drivers from single F2 season get to go for F1 in the following year. But ye every one of them deserved that seat and they are gonna be in F1 for quite some time. Great to see Albon got second chance as well, being Max Verstappen's teammate on Redbull is very hard position to be in that can easily destroy anyone's career in F1, it almost happend to both Gasly and Albon.

George started in a backmarker team and is now in a frontrunner team, alex started in a frontrunner team and is now at a backmarker(ish) team, and lando is in a car that can somehow be both a front runner and backmarker in the same season. All 3 are crazy talented tho, and im certain we’ll see at least a couple championships from these 3 in the years to come

I loved when Alex said his lowest low was the first race in 2021 because he wasn't driving. Despite all the frustration he had in some races and teams in his career, the worst for him is not driving at all. Shows how much the drivers love racing. (And also getting paid maybe but let's leave that for somewhere else)

Really happy for that reunion! It's a perfect rookie trio for that year! Hope we will have more of these!

@@gameofender4463 George and Lando i'd agree Alex not so much. Bottas wasn't actually that bad, on his day he could be pretty much unbeatable as LH discovered more than once. I think Bottas's problem was lack of consistancy and being teamed up with one of the most consistant drivers in F1. Over the course of a season he just couldn't match Hamilton's consistancy. And that is what many people get wrong about LH. He isn't the quickest driver over 1 lap but he is the most consistantly quick over 70 laps that's why he's won 7titles.

It’s interesting just how different their careers have been already. One stuck at the back til they got to jump to a top team, one riding the waves with the same team as they move up and down the field, one propelled too high too fast but building a great base now. Two team leaders and one race winner

These three guys are really what F1 should be: true friendship, sportsmanship and absolute respect for their jobs. And they have brought to us more emotional races than any rookie driver could bring. I'd celebrate if they have the chance to win the WDC in the near future.

I like how there's not a lot of holding back between these 3. Shows that they're actual mates who can dunk on each other for fun.

These 3 gave us such a great 2018 F2 season. Hasn’t been replicated ever since, and no wonder all 3 are doing really well in F1.

George is Clarkson - tall and probably the most outspoken Lando is Hammond - Short Albon is May - Joined Top Gear season 2 onwards and Albon got the call to F1 later so both have joined the gang ever so slighly after.

Character, talent, humble, articulate and friendly; those guys must have been one of the best rookies ever. Kudos to them, their families and the British motor racing.

Nearly 5 years and the chaos is still there. Them tearing into each other even when talking about high highs. 😂 Love it. I got into F1 in 2019/2020, so I’ve kind of been on their journey too.

Love hearing these guys speak so candidly about their experiences

Oh man, more of these! Honest and open conversations between F1 drivers. Ive found every platform regardless of sport, that puts a number of athletes in front of a camera with just a few ques in terms of questions, no pundits, no hosts, just the athletes in a comfortable enviroment to speak their mind always produces the best insight into who they are and stuff. Theres nothing getting in the way of them simply talking, and also the fact that its 3 drivers in this case, they all understand and can relate to each other and what theyre saying. Even shows like Lebron James "The Barbershop" where its just a bunch of athletes talking. They all relate and expand off of each others stories and again, its just unparralled insight for us regular people into them as people and atheltes. Plus hearing stories and personal feelings/perceptions that we wouldnt have if it werent for this type of setting adds so much depth to the sports history and them as drivers through their history. Moments we watched gain a bit more value when we hear the stories behind them. Id absolutely love more of these.
