Ugh...... that first clip shows exactly why ASP is in desperate need of external overhaul. The 'mentor' wanting him to be close enough to wreck in the middle of a full road of traffic, then deciding to finally do a PIT on a blind curve where they had zero idea what was coming the other direction. They're going to stay the leader in civil lawsuit losses and settlements for a long time at this rate.

In the heat of a battle I don't think any mentor are calm. I think he was informative during the chase. The rookie has practiced pit maneuvering at the track but with innocent people on the road it's totally different to know when to do the pit and what to look out for including the correct distance to the chased vehicle. I wouldn't want the job. So much responsibility.

are the US police looking to be commended on the first pursuit? its fucking awful what they were trying to do! there was a child in the car, yet they were trying to pit manoeuvre the car in built up areas at high speed, crowding the car with the potential for the driver of the stolen car to make rash decision or mistakes, which could have lead to the death of the child. would they have shrugged claiming the driver responsible for the death? because they would be to blame too. i was half expecting, by the end, for the police to shoot into the car to 'save the child'
