WylunCustoms As Ronda explained, the reason she doesn't buy it is because Bethe was criticizing her for even _more_ obscure shit about Ronda's life that she only talked about in her book (drugs, running away from home, etc.). So, it's very unlikely that she didn't also know about her dad's suicide, which is something that's been talked about in pretty much every Countdown show involving Ronda _and_ her book.

WylunCustoms I knew abut it, it was in a short documentary (that had fairly good ratings) about her. And it's been brought up by mma sites before it was raised by Bethe. And even if Bethe didn't know, why would she make an insensitive suicide joke anyway? Bethe needs to be careful with her words, if you're going to make a risky joke you might as well accept the consequences.

this is bethes biggest fuck up ever when it comes to saying something stupid to someone else.... in the ultimate fighter series ronda cried when a fighter on her team lost that's how much ronda is a loving person who emotionally invests and cares for others and you go and say some stupid shit like this.... this is a person who is one of very few people that ronda loves with every fiber of her being and this person also is her dad who is someone she has an emotional connection and bond to since birth which you can only have towards parent's, what tops this off is that this guy is dead and daddies little girl is now without the biggest inspiration and motivation in her life. bethe has literally woken the biggest anger within ronda were ever likely to see, you know someones at full anger when their cool calm and collective and saving all their energy for when they fight the other person.

If Rousey indeed can beat Bethe quickly, she should. Taking things personal and wanting to dish out punishment is a bad game plan imo. In any fight, anything can happen and if you let someone hang around, crazy things have happened in the past. Bethe does seem to have decent striking and she knocked Bazler senseless. Bazler seriously had nothing left after wrestling with Bethe in the first round and got pummeled after that. She just stood there and took a beating. Of course there was no knockout but I personally haven't seen a lot of knockouts in the womens division. Tate plowed Eye the other night and she didn't go to sleep either. All I'm saying is if Ronda plays around and happens to get knocked loopy and Bethe starts throwing like a maniac, and Rousey just covers up, all it takes is the ref to call it and boom bam done. Never a good idea to play around with your opponent if you can take them out quickly. You get paid the same if the fight lasts 5 seconds or 5 rounds.

And I've never want to see her beat somebody up so badly :)

I believe Rousey completely outclasses Correia as a fighter. With that said I also believe / know that when fighters especially but any athlete gets over confident or plays around with their opponent they open themselves up to an upset. With a title fight Bethe is not going to want to tap out quickly if a submission is threatened, but with a caliber of submission-artist that Ronda is, a limb could go from fine to needing surgery and permanently damaged in a fraction of a second. I'm pretty sure after the indirect reference to Ronda's dad and then playing dumb, Ronda's looking to break this girl's arm in a few places quickly before a tap-out can occur. Such an injury could ruin a career. Bethe is way in over her head.

You might want to reconsider your stance on the whole rousey being able to take a punch deal.

That looks like cheap press on shit... That hoodies logos will start coming off with in the year.

I don't think Ronda is that special ,, it obviously looks that way but most girls at 135pounds are lacking in strength,, the girls Ronda has fought are tossed around like rag dolls by her,, when they clinch it looks to easy,, I think Zangana or Tate have the tools to beat her but unless the work on there strength it'll just be easy for Ronda,, not hating just an observation

If you knew anything about Judo, you'd know that the moves are leverage and technique-based, although in some cases not as technical as Gracie Jiu Jitsu. In past fights, namely her fight with former Strikeforce bantamweight champ Sarah Kaufman, she used strength to break Kaufman's grip on her endangered arm. There is a video of GJJ Black Belt Alex Stuart showing how to break an S-grip on an opponent trying to defend an armbar. How he broke that grip without using strength is a testament to the factors in every one of the moves that Helio Gracie originally modified from the ground judo his brothers learned from Jigoro Kano's protege, Mitsuyo Maeda. Anyhow, Rousey doesn't need to be stronger to defeat Correia. In her place, I'd rely on Judo to take Correia down and submit her quickly. I wouldn't rely on Correia starting slow and gaining momentum; because that would be my first mistake. Again, personal matters aside, I would finish Correia quickly if I were Rousey; or else Correia will be to Rousey what Buster Douglas was to Mike Tyson -- and nobody wants that.
