Roncesvalles Village | Bloor to Queen Toronto Walk (March 2023)
A Toronto walk through Roncessvales Village. I start at one of the ugliest intersections in the city at Dundas & Bloor. I then head south over to Howard Park Avenue and then walk down Roncesvalles Avenue to Queen. There were some snow flurries at the time.

Lived 2 years on Wright Avenue off Roncy where that big 504 bus mural is. Revue Cinema hosted some Toronto Film Festival showings back then (going by memory) & had a fancier entrance. Roncy retail was once more Polish-oriented with markets speaking solely Polish. Great, safe neighborhood, proximity to High Park, Lake, & TTC giving lots of options.

I'm so happy to see that "She Said Boom!" is still around. One of my favorite places to look for old LPs
that Gym on the right, Bloor St. Fitness, @1:28 has a boxing ring on the upper floor which was removed from Maple Leaf gardens and is the Ring that Muhammad Ali fought George Chuvallo in back in 1966. Huge piece of Toronto sports history.

I`m enjoying these TO walkabouts. Been living in Brazil for 20 years. But I grew up in Etobicoke and my girlfirend at the time drive the Roncesvalles streetcar.
I believe it is Copernicus Lodge (seniors residence) on the right before Queen. I used to visit there. thanks for the walk.

Great walk, love the area and history. I haven't been in that area for ages. You do a lot for the smaller businesses, by showcasing their storefronts. The High Park Garage restoration (beautifully done) is a Photography Studio and Loft apartments, according to Google.
