ronaldinho says in many interviews he watched ronaldo and went to his backyard to practice his moves. that's how he perfected them. he is a mix of ronaldo (who was called ronaldinho back then) and another brazilian great, djalminha.

What I liked about him as a football player is that he had so much natural flair and skillset yet at the same time he was very direct and not flash. He oozed class on the football pitch. Before his career threatening injury, he was simply unstoppable.

My favourite player of all time. He was incredible and frightening for defenders. Grew up admiring him and will never forget when he scored a hat trick at Old Trafford and the united fans were applauding him. He was one of those players that you just had to bow to even though he was on the other team. World class R9

Ronaldo’s burst of acceleration was second to no one ever.

Prime r9 is the best and the most spectacular player I have ever watched. I watched r7 and messi but prime r9 was something else. His style was new, and game changer. The era of classic strikers ended with him. He was a striker but also like a mc and amc. Likewise he played like a winger. As for his final moves, he had a lethal combination of finishing and technique. Oh I miss watching him.

Its a shame he got injured but tbh the sheer amount of power he generated whilst being able to be so agile/nimble with the ball its honestly isnt surprising. Crazy talent

He changed the way of playing as a striker, he was just more than waiting the majority of the time in the box for a cross, a pass or an opponent mistake, his quality were so ahead from others that he was creating the goal by his own and all that at so young age, 18-19 years old coming from Brazil, when the 90% of the player needs at least a year of adaptation to european football, scoring 30+ goals versus best defenders in football period ever. Mix the strenght, speed, finishing and weak foot of Cristiano, the skills of Neymar and the dribbling and intelligence of Messi and you get the Ronaldo from 1994 to 98. After injury he was great but not the same, maybe because of his lifestyle he would have never been the same but even if i am to young to speak about him, based on what i have seen by footage, in his prime he was the best striker ever, all modern offensive player like Mbappe, Neymar, Cristiano, Ibrahimovic, Messi have admiration for him.

Crazy to think even with all these leg injuries he was able to achieve 2 ballon dors 2 world cups, be 2nd top scorer in WC all time, 50+ international goals, 200+ goals in his career.

There is a difference between dribbling past a player and dribbling away from a player ....pure 1vs1 dribbling of nazario was way better than Messi and ronaldo What Messi does is dribbling away ...going inside .same thing ..and ronaldo doing inside chops ....nazario was like water ....he didi anything unexpectedly and moulded himself according to the situation

Complete doesn't mean better. What he was capable to do was enough to score 30+ goals against the best defenders in football period ever... not bad. There are player that can do a lot of things in a good way but there are player that can do 3-4 things in an extraordinary way, i think every manager or smart people in this world would chose the second.
