The thing is Ronaldo phenomenon dribbles 4 or more players all the time. messi does same but not all the time. Ronaldo phenomenon appear more elegant than messi during dribbling. Plus Ronaldo phenomenon takes ball from mid field even from the back and dribbles all his way into the net. Plus whenever Ronaldo phenomenon gets the ball, everybody knows something interesting is about to happen unlike Messi and Christiano. if you judge GOAT by total number of goals then we should choose christiano Ronaldo and Messi but if you judge the GOAT by the best playmaker or the player that whenever he gets the ball you know something is about to happen, or that a goal is about to happen, then We should choose Ronaldo phenomenon.

R9 is my favourite player of all time but don’t talk rubbish, I’ve watched his entire career , he didn’t dribble 4-5 defenders every time , he lost the ball plenty of times , at his absolute best in WC 98 he didn’t dribble 4-5 players once in the Tournament never mind every time he got the ball , Messi has far more successful dribbles than R9 and don’t even talk about playmaking because Messi is just on another planet to any other player . R9 was phenomenal because of his explosive pace from a standing start his ability to change direction at top speed and his outrageous unpredictable skills . He was big strong fast could finish equally well with both feet and outrageously skillful but to say he dribbled 4-5 players all the time is nonsense.

@@giovannigio3764 Yes that is true as I’ve said he was my all time favourite player , he did score far more goals than Messi or CR7 when at the same age as them before injuries but that’s not neither here nor there because they started playing as Wingers , but it’s a pointless comparison because when R9 was at his best aged 17-22 CR7 was playing as a right winger in a 4-4-2 formation, Messi was playing as an attacking RWF and then in a false 9 and dropping deep to play as an extra midfielder, When CR7 did play as a striker it was in a far more attacking era for football, in R9s time it was harder to score goals especially when he was playing in Italy against absolute monster defenders, the International stage is also a pointless comparison as the South American qualifiers are a far higher standard than the qualifying groups in Europe, you can never have a fair comparison . IMO R9 at his best was better than CR7 but comparing him to Messi is so so difficult because they are such different players , R9 couldn’t drop into a MF Position and take over the game passing you to death , but then again I couldn’t see Messi sprinting past a prime Maldini tying him in knots with ridiculous skills at blistering pace , all while get kicked all over the pitch , all you can really do as a footballer is be the best of your generation it’s almost impossible to compare generations when you have to factor in , changes in tactics, diet , training programs , and protection from referees. etc One example is some of the tackles that went in on Maradona would land you a prison sentence today nevermind a red card 😂 So long story short we all have our favourite players but to pick a GOAT is an impossible task because you are almost comparing different sports the game has changed so much .

The most talented and complete football player I have ever seen. Seeing the young Ronaldo play was like witnessing magic. There were great players, and then there was Ronaldo. He played on a whole other level. Imagine just how good he would have been if it hadn't been for the terrible injuries. But even after those he remained the best striker in the world. I don't think we will ever see another player like him. He was truly unique and anyone who liked football, also loved Ronaldo.

"He is unstoppable" He is the best player I have seen...but he most certainly could be stopped, even when he was young. he played in 37 LA Liga games in his great season at barca in 96-97....he failed to score in 17 of those games. he scored 34 goals in the other 20 games. in the cup winners cup , Fiorentina held him scoreless in both legs & PSG held him scoreless from open play (he scored the winning penalty) in his first season with inter in 97-98 he was held without a goal in 12 of his 32 serie a games Even the greatest players can be stopped.

Ronaldo played in 13 of those games. they scored 13 goals in those games. this level is already been reached but he did it way earlier when football was developing , he keep it simple but also does skills and he don't spam skills for showoff.
