On paper yes it looks like the teams are weak but on the day, any team can beat any team. Also most of Messi's goals against PL teams are in Camp Nou, there is huge difference between playing in Spain and England. It's called most competitve league for a reason, It's easy to play teams occasionally, maybe once every 2-3 years.
