The tax exempt will never end because the truth is that the IRS is now running the Church of Scientology. All the copyright material of Scientology is owned by a secretive organization called the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST). The comity that runs CST is formed of several lawyers that where lead members of the IRS team that was tasked with bringing Scientology down in the early 80's. CST is not a religious organization and can be taxed by the IRS. CST legally pays the IRS taxes and basically sells the copyright material to the Church of Scientology on premium a fee that they have to pay or they will lose the right to sell or use all the source material created by L. Ron Hubbard. The end result is that Scientology is being stealth taxed through an umbrella organization that's run by the IRS. If the CoS tries to not pay CST they will legally ban them from using any source material associated with Scientology, so the CoS has no option but to pay up. It's very cleaver cold war style stuff the IRS used to infiltrate and control the religion before it became a threat. This is why the US government won't do a thing to stop Scientology despite the fact that they know it a cult and is doing illegal shit to its members. Actually what happened when the IRS tried to revoke their tax exempt status they got tied up in courts for something like 10 years and the IRS got to the point where they felt that what they were spending was not worth the effort. This is what Scientology does if you try to take them to court they have billions of dollars to pay lawyers and you don't

Scientology had private detectives follow top irs executives to get dirt on them. Then the irs was happy to "negotiate" the tax free status. This is documented.

I know exactly what these ppl went through... I was in a place like that for nearly 3 years. In my case the parents were the ones who were brainwashed and the kids were the ones who were tortured...

I don't condone scientology behaviour, but Remember these kids were brought up in this by the parents, so they know nothing else. Even though Ron got out, it's still his fault this has happened. Obviously something went on in that room (auditing)that David went into at age 9 and it damaged his 9 year brain forever. 🤷‍♀️

Amen Maurice, He also saved me from falling into this trap. I nearly fell for this because selfishly I wanted a perfect memory and super high IQ. What a pack of vipers and blind people this is. That's why to this day RTC leader, David Miscavige, still hasn't been subpoena for a RICO even though the his crimes are well known and documented.

there's alot more public info on it now and a ton more members who have left all with the same terrible stories so I would say they are more likely to be at threat now than thwybhave ever been. All of the protests and the church taking on anonymous official wouldn't of helped them as the publicity and protests against the church that came from the church picking the wrong battle with anonymous official hurt there reputation alot nd the numbers are dwindling whatever the numbers were they certainly ain't those anymore, a shit load of ex members woke up and smelt the coffee and left to many people who have left all report the same cult like practice.
