I'm thankful for the life and ministry of Ron Hamilton. I'm praying for peace, comfort and love over the family.

I learned this song in Patch the Pirate Club when I was 6 years old; and this song has seen me through many trials, from my Momma’s passing in 2012 to coming to college in the fall of 2020. This song will always hold a special place in my heart.

_"I find hope, I find grace; far away from the world's embrace."_ This hits so close to home, it's humbling.

About 12 noon I love this song because Ron is singing dwelling to be with Christ in my life all day every day. Not just devotions. It is every minute of each day. I walk with Him. ❤😊

Yes that secret place thanks for that bible hymn. Many a time I look back and see how God's Grace helped me speak at my dad's funeral where my three brothers got saved to my brother and mothers funeral where they just died twenty min.a part. Than my wife of 50 yrs died of a aggressive cancer.9/15/20. Yes the secret place Psm.91.

Thank you bro Hamilton. My wife and I grew up listening to your music and Patch the Pirate. I went through a very deep valley in my life 10 years ago. God used your music to encourage me to press on and not give in. Thank you for remaining steadfast in the work of the Lord. We are praying for you and your health. May Christ be glorified

I raised my children with your music. The songs helped develop their character (& mine!). We are so thankful to God for lifting you up to help this generation. We have planned to raise the next generation the same way, by the grace of God.

My oh My isn't that just precious..? As we have followed the Hamiltons over the last 40 years, and seen their stellar example of Grace in Trial, how very compelling and moving.. Don't you just want to get to that "Secret Place"??

I’m going to be 43 years old this summer and have been listening to patch the pirate every since I must’ve been 9 or 10. Thank you Ron Hamilton for being a blessing all these years with being patch the pirate. Now I can introduce your stories to my 9 and 13 year old and hand off the patch the pirate stories to a new generation. God bless you sir!

I always watch this whenever I’m sad

My kids grew up on Patch the Pirate and now my grandchildren are. I am so thankful for this Ministry.

I heard this for the first time at 17, when the Hamilton family visited our church. They played this song before the sermon began. Ron Hamilton was unable to join his family because his health was already going downhill. It was so touching. By the end of the song, I needed tissues to keep up with the tears. RIP Ron Hamilton. ❤

To me this iis true worship music as opposed to what some churches call worship music which is just rock music. Our church uses a lot of Majesty music. My wife and I sang some of your songs in our church because it is both contemporary and godly. We thank the Hamilton family for their stand for godly Christian music that edifies the body of Christ and is suitable for worship.

In 1973, I was blessed to be a voice student of then, graduate assistant Ron Hamilton. He was incredibly talented, popular on campus, and patient with this 16 year old college freshman. I will forever be thankful for Ron's impact on my life, his music ministry to my children as Patch the Pirate, and the many compositions he and Shelley produced for our churches. This song is my twin sister's favorite song. And as she fights covid, this is what she listens to. She fought for a month, but she lost the fight. But I know this song gave her comfort. Now, as I fight the depression of her loss, this song gives me the strength to fight for life. I long for my twin sister so much 😭

I was in Pee Wee Pirates and Patch the Pirate when I was younger in Hawaii and I have to tell you how much appreciated everything. The songs, the workbooks and even the little cute uniform. My best memories were in class listening to those stories and learning about Christ from a young age. Now being married and having a child and letting her listen to the songs and sing along has been the biggest blessing. Thank you for creating such an amazing program that sparked the fire in my heart to serve and to continue to serve our Lord and Savior! I am forever grateful!

I just finished reading Always Only Good by Shelly Hamilton. My daughter has mental illness and I could relate to much of the book. I cried a lot. Jonathan was a beautiful soul. I feel like I know him. Good job on the book Shelly. God bless all of you.

This song really ticks me off (keep reading). As a missionary to The Netherlands I value an important principle that my mother (also a missionary to the Netherlands) taught me. If the title of a song cannot be translated into Dutch, then it is highly unlikely that the song can even be translated. "In the Secret Place" first of all would be "In de Geheime Plaats", which is one syllable longer, and that syllable is in the wrong place. Secondly, that phrase has no meaning in Dutch. So according to Mom, it can't be translated. That ticks me off, because it is such a beautiful, moving song with yet another typically Ron Hamilton dose of Truth and encouragement. We already enjoy singing "Here am I, Lord", "What shall I fear", "My God is a ... God (don't even know the words in English!)", "In this hour, Lord Jesus take me", and a few others in Dutch. Thanks so much!
