Great information - even if I will never own a K&T. What I really enjoy is that 'old timers' still take pride in their work and resulting top class products that they were instrumental in delivering. Thanks Ron.

Me, I want it out in my shop, it’s just an outbuilding but that’s where I do my fun stuff. Lol Besides, it’s easier to get in and out of. That would be a perfect size for a smaller home shop, and it’s going to be just like new.

There are not a lot of horizontal mills around any more. Nothing better for saws. Just seems the old fellas like us have them. What a great post Keith. Not hard but time consuming for sure eh. After all are we not bang on as we should be ? I sure enjoyed this, great fella !

I hope that beautiful little machine gets a job somewhere rather than mouldering in a museum. Or the museum is a teaching/making concern where the machine is actually put to good use. Your exceptional expertise is uncommon, and valued.

I've learnt so much from these channels that i learn less each time. Exactly how it should be! But he just caught a gap in my learning. before fitting gibb strips they too need to be scraped flat. Damn dude your 82 and still deep in engineering, if I get to 82 I know that no matter my level I'll be into engineering one way or another. Besides I'm 41 and your 82 and the grim reaper ain't "ageist" at all. He could get me in 6 months and your still spritely for the next 11 years.

Funny you brought this model machine up in your video, I actually have two of them! Got them out of a machine shop in Rochester NY and have had them for the last 5 or 6 years! The one I use quite often, but the other one just sits there beside the first! They both run, just do not use it! If you're interested in pictures or serial numbers, let me know! I would not part with the one I use, but if anyone is interested in the second one, I could be persuaded to part with it!

I hate people who think that they are better then other people. I know people that rebuild those machines as spanking new. Dont say other people dont go that far. You will be amazed how many people there are that do the same even a better job then you do grandpa.
