CNBC understandably removed the part where Ron was about to point out that legacy auto is basically going to go bankrupt as a result of Tesla. Pretty important for folks to understand.

So I beg to differ! The legacy auto manufacturers are not going bankrupt because of Elon Musk, and Tesla, they’re going bankrupt, because they don’t know what else to do. So let me ask you this question, what would happen if Elon Musk were to disappear from the face of the Earth, never to reappear again, what would happen? The answer is from my perspective would be, we will continue to see legacy auto manufacturers go bust, as the horse drawn carriage was not put out of business, because some guy decided to invent the internal combustion engine, and oh by the way, the electric motor driven carriage was actually around slightly before the internal combustion engine, but that’s a whole other story that most people don’t know either, but my point is they didn’t go out of business because of somebody inventing a new way of transport. They simply went out of business because they had become obsolete, and the same thing is happening with the coal industry in terms of electric generation, it’s going to go by the wayside because it’s simply too costly, too dirty, and it’s obsolete, and the failure to recognize the change that needs to be done and moved quickly to move to the new reality that the world is simply moving on, that’s the problem with legacy OEMs. So Elon Musk and Tesla just came along at the right time, because if you will recall General Motors had the most popular EV that the world had ever seen in their EV1, remember that car, never sold a single one. They decided instead to lease them, and for whatever their reasons, decided that the market just wasn’t there for battery electric cars, and so they decided to repossess them, and crush them. So Elon Musk recognize that because of climate change, and the fact that battery technology had improved to a point where it would make it feasible to fasten her car that could rival and exceed that of the internal combustion engine. So was he right? I think so, and I think people like Ron Barron is correct in everything he said about Elon Musk, with the exception that if he somehow disappeared from planet earth, all a sudden things would grind to a halt, and I don’t think that’s the case at all, because I think what we have in place at all of Elon Musk‘s businesses, to include other businesses, e.g. Apple, Amazon, Google, Oracle, Nvidia, Microsoft, etc. is the talent to do what is necessary to save us from our worst selves or at least I hope there is. Cheers 🥂
Ron Baron needs a longer segment, this doesn't do him justice
One of the most underrated investors of our generation. Thanks Baron

RON BARON IS ONE OF THE GREATEST
His plug was perfect.
Well done Ron
How is FIGS doing??
where did praise to CNBS come from? no one invested in Tesla because on CNBS, quite the opposite, these clowns been bashing Elon 24/7 for over a decade and some are shorting it, wth
Masses moving and what they can do to recuperate
One thing he need to explain is why he likes Mary barra.
Think about what recuperation is !! On trains and trucks and cars
“Make the planet inhabitable… uh, habitable…”
Model 2? Is that confirmed ?
Would have been the best experience in investment advice, if only the CNBC geniouses were not there...

Look what Telma break is!!!
Is it Israel or Germany??
France is doing it already with Telma break
Tech innovation wise Tesla still looks good, but i just think other car brands are making more interesting and stylish cars. The competition ain't sleeping.
And in Europe we will fight

"I am not an expert in that, I am an expert in companies" is a cop out answer. But overall great interview with Ron Baron. I am also Jewish and own Tesla stock and own a Tesla model 3 RWD. Elon is a complex genius. But what comes out of his mouth makes me cringe. I am going to read Walter Isaacson's book. The Steve Jobs book was a great read.
Apples innovation died with Jobs, and so did the Goliath that apple once was.

That makes no sense...lmao do you even know what he is talking about or is this a bot?
Why always this chic interview all the old rich dudes
And I am not Jewish
Elon Musk is still missing on how Physically his cars have advantage
And even Israel will show you
They completed side track him and wanted to push him to talk about anti semitism not his investments
The boring Deutsche post lol
In another universe you would be see as mentally ill. You value people for how much they can make you. You would drop him like a rock if he started loosing you money. You an all the people measuring success on wealth and using it as your God. Greed is not good. Treat people how you would like to be treated. Help people when you can. Don’t be evil. Seek out awakening or look to reincarnation. Do you think the infinite creator divinity of all light cares you believe your Jewish or Christian? You proud people talk about hate speech. Right now more human s are living on the street in an outbreak of homelessness. And your offended by hate speech. I shed a tear for you.
In terms of "self promotion" this interview doesn't make me want to invest more in Ron's funds but less. How naive as a fund manager do you have to be that you think you can claim returns from the market because "I deserve it, we deserve it". What an odd way to justify your positioning. How do you quantify deserving? This guy is literally Cathie Woods in male form, if all she did was invest in TSLA. He's a bit like the guy at work who makes the 1 big trade and then reminds everyone for the next 5 years about that one trade.
What a bunch of malarkey
German Physics will show you America
Once again, this guy just self-congratulates himself for his previous track record. He literally doesn't help the retail investor. What new stock advice or companies did he mention to help you? NONE!

@gestablidni6197 go back and watch the other "awesome interviews." He says the same thing. Nothing new, nothing to help you with your investments. The guys a billionaire and Fs you everytime. He laughs in your face. Just because he wears a sweater, it's soft spoken and trying to the Mr. Rogers contest doesn't mean he's a good guy or that he's helping you.

If you think CNBC ever does anything with the motive of helping the retail investor, you will benefit from critically reevaluating. Note that in this interview they sought to negatively portray Musk in a variety of ways, discuss Twitter (not even a public company), editorialize with long statements posing as “questions”. etc.

@tlee7653 Obviously, CNBC is MSM and plays politics. That's NOT what my comment is about. It's about Rooooon, not even bothering. It's RON'S words and actions. He could of easily changed the topic.

Do your own research. He already mention that he has a strong position on Tesla. So invest in Tesla is you believe, if not then buy ETF.
He just toots his own horn. There is nothing of substance that he talks about.
This guy is really delusional...
