They did a torture test on this dropped it in water even frozen it solid and shot it with a shot gun and dropped it multiple times throwing it up in the air and it still worked and held zero

Have 1 on my black rain ordinance ar 15 . Absolutely luv it.

It really is a great RDS for the money! My only quibble is that I wish the high riser was lower 1/3 (1.57") instead of absolute. Still, I might get another one to try on my Beretta 1301 (using the lower mount).

Had same issue. Wanted the 1/3 cowitness. Found out that the UTG Super Slim T1 Mount (ABSOLUTE COWITNESS MODEL) puts the Romeo 5 at a 1/3 cowitness. The thing is $20 on Amazon and its rock solid.

I own 4..,great red dot at a great price.

What are the temperature ranges for this sight? I can’t find any information on that for this sight. I live in a cold environment where we see our winters get into the negatives regularly.

There's a video by Alabama Arsenal where they froze a Romeo overnight, when they pulled it out of the freezer it was a solid block of ice, the red dot could be seen could be seen shining through the frozen block of ice.

I got this the SIG with a holosun hmx3 and it's looks pretty clean.

I have a lot of coyotes, can sometime tell me how the night vision works on this site?

I grabbed 1 from Primary Arms for $100 and I couldn't be happier! Even though I did a 50y zero & missed a big boar hog yesterday at 75. I was aiming for the eye & didn't hold low for the rise in the bullet Oh well, live & learn. Easy zero too! Love #MOTAC

I have both. The 4 is far better but let me tell you I have absolutely NO complaints about this 5! DAMN nice red dot and better than my Vortex in my opinion.

DOES THE RED DOT NEED TO BE CENTERED IN THE CENTER OF CIRCLE ? NEED TO BE SET WITH THE FRONT SIGHT OF AN AR ? THANX

The hi mount is absolute co-witness so it will be at the height of your front sight

Been hearing an uncomfortably large number turn off and won't turn back on until you remove the battery for some time and replace it. Not good.

Doug carpenter mine came absolute, also had an adapter to make it 1/3.

It’s that a t1 ???

Mine kills the battery in storage. I never used mine once and it’s been sitting for a year or 2 and the battery is dead. 👎

Will not work properly with aftermarket mount bc the sight is .2 inch too tall

Just hold down one of the dimmer buttons for a few seconds and it shuts off.

I'm sorry, but the holographic sight system with the dot or image moving is on purpose. If you shift your position, you shift your perspective. If the dot stays in the center and you fire, you will miss. The holographic system adjusts for your position so that where the dot is, is where the bullet hits when you have it zero'd. So, are you saying 'the dot will always be where it needs to be to make accurate shots' means it does the same thing? Or are you saying it'll only be in one position meaning when you shift position you miss?

Substandard mounts are a common complaint.

5 years? I'll buy vortex at least they stand by theirs for life period not just the body

Jeremy James you will be using that warranty too. Not one complaint from SIG Romeo or Holosun (who makes this optic) users. Haven’t seen a used SIG optic for sale, also. I sold both my Vortex Sparc’s to put this on both of my AR’s.

Jeremy James, 5 years is more than enough for me. Newer technology or a better version would be in the market by that time.

Lifetime guarantee of the body is a cop out, make it a lifetime guarantee of the electronics, then I would consider buying.

Good sight but made in China and only designed in Oregon. Made in America has become obsolete.

Made in China isn't a bad thing. It depends on the company sending the specs to China. A lot of companies tell Chinese based companies to follow their specs, using the cheapest possible equipment. They don't sand burrs off of pcbs, ( which doesn't matter anyways, but if you can see them it does look shoddy ), they use less copper in pcbs, etc... They may not use as much x or y in their alloys, and soo on. Anything to reduce the price. Then there are companies which enforce their contracts when Chinese companies send them products out of spec. Sometimes these companies will sell these units at a much lower price, others will junk them or recycle them, or send them back at the other persons expense because of their infringement on their contract. So, before you say China manufacturing is bad, it isn't. It is American greed which drives American companies to demand lower quality. If the product was made in the USA, the company would demand even lower quality to match the price difference of the workers. Also, Chinese aren't paid slave wages - maybe to us for certain tasks, however a lot of jobs in China pay more than America. Also, the cost of living is much different so technically if you compare cost of living from China to America, and the salaries of minimum wage jobs to others per state, you'd be surprised.

@@CH1EFBL1TZ It isn't illegal to put Made in America on something made in China, if it is done properly... For instance, if the Made in America is put on the plastic packaging and the packaging is made in America - then they can do it. If they put Made in America on a part not made in America, they can't do that ( they could but it would be false ). So what some will do is make the outer shell / components in America, and everything else in China so they can use Made In America on the outer shell, and put Made in China on the inner parts which you don't see. Some companies may also switch Made with Assembled - I'm not sure of the legal ramifications but the actual definitions support the fact that made can mean assembled. Do your own research, don't always believe what companies write on their packaging, etc... because it may only correspond to that individual part.
