Rome is one of my favourite cities in Europe, great history, the entire city is an open air museum, culture, gastronomy, all in one place.

Its an amazing and worth to visit these 2000 years old engineering marvels. In absence of any civil engineering guys and heavy earth moving vehicles and cranes how these mammoth structures were carried to the spot...

Hands down my favourite channel for travel. I love that it does not have the vlog structure only skipping around town. It’s in-depth without being boring with an interesting narrative. It takes a lot of research to do what he does. I love his videos in European quaint towns a lot as well.
I had been to Rome, but never was as moved as watching this clip. I didn't fully appreciate it due to the lack of background knowledge. It's a great thing that I can still catch up by just watching rick explaining.

His grasp of crime statistics is tenuous, and that’s being polite. This isn’t the first video in which he’s expressed an underlying dislike of his own country based on laughably inaccurate information.

I like Rick Steven video, but what the heck does he mean that Ancient Rome tastes for violence even exceeds modern America. Only places in America that seem to love violence are democrat run cities.
Fascinating. Rick I thoroughly enjoyed this trip through Ancient Rome.

Thanks Rick , I look world nearly by you Great
Great documentary, thank you for uploading!
Cruising with Rick during the pandemic, this brought back memories of a particular trip to Rome during the ATP tour. I still remember the vibrancy of holding this athletic contest close to the ancient Coliseum, the exuberance and friendly welcome of the crowds, the WINES! and the food stalls along the area as we entered. While this is the Italian Open, it is called the "Rome Open." While it is played on clay courts, sports writers refer to the French Open as the only one played on clay. Not to knock the French Open, it is in a city with a rude, expensive environment --and thin sour wines, (I stil l harbor some resentment over my first visit to Paris in 1950. The taxi driver did not give me change and pretended not to understand me. I sat until the doorman came out, and got the change. Five years after the war in which one of my cousins landed on Omaha Beach (D-day + 2).and 25 years after my father was wounded whille patrolling for German submarines in the North Atlantic.
Great Show. Thanks Steve.
