I am so moved by this video. Your lace curtain of love is truly an inspired work! It honors the crochet work of the hands of generations past in a unique way. The icing on the cake is that you incorporate pieces created by your mother of blessed memory! I am so cheered by this video. So glad I “met” you!

What a Nice job! Thanks for sharing! I would separate the squares from the rounded pieces and make a courtain either with squares or with rounded ones together. Just my oppinion. But I love the Idea of recuperatig the pieces from the flea market.
Its wonderful that you used some of your mom's crochet work. I lost my mom 2 months ago and she taught me, my sisters and some friends how to crochet as she was taught from my grandmother. When I crochet, knit and sew I think of her.

I love how your curtain turned out 😊. My mom still has crocheted doilies & embroidery left to her from my Finnish grandma.💕 My mother & grandmother first taught me to crochet at age 8. It was very heartwarming that you remembered you had pieces left from your mother & were able to incorporate them into the beautiful curtain.🧶💕 So glad to have found your channel.😊

This is so beautiful it almost makes me emotional. You took the warmth of so many hands and brought it to your home. Maybe many of them are not alive anymore but part of their energy live in your house and passing their creativity to you and to us through videos. Finding works of your moms hands is so special, I have few pieces from my grandmother and mother and sometimes I wonder if my kids would keep what I do, or donate them to thrift store.

It turned out perfect 💖 It is so, so beautiful and needed a lot of patience to do it ready. Lot of designing and sewing. And there are, like a cherry on the top of the cake, your mother's beautiful crochet works. They makes it special. Your curtain contains many works crocheted by unknown hands with their own secret stories. You created your own story from those.

This brought me to tears, there must be so many stories woven into these beautiful pieces of crochet. Thank you for showing us this true labour of love. My grandmother died leaving loads of incomplete projects, crochet, knitting, embroidery and tatting, all of which I have inherited when mum died recently. All projects are wrapped up individually in paper, all with the yarns, threads, hooks, shuttles and patterns, some handwritten. You have encouraged me to get them out and try to finish them and see how i can display them. Some of the patterns have 1950`s dates on them. These things are so precious 🥰

OH MY! OH MY! WONDERFULLY BEAUTIFUL‼️💗 And SO PRECIOUS having your mother’s crochet squares incorporated in this marvelous project. Thank You so VERY MUCH for taking us with you on your journey making this gorgeous curtain. When I was learning different crochet stitches , I took on the project of an afghan with 63 different squares in white and ecru cotton yarn. And like you, while I was in process with this afghan, I found items made by my dear mother who had died many years before: a couple of her ecru cotton dish clothes that my mother crocheted, and one that she had knitted. It was amazing that these found items were exactly the same size square as the 63 squares that I was crocheting. Also like you , I included them in my project. My heart was and continues to be deeply touched with joy because my mother’s precious squares are a part of my afghan of 63 square different squares.
