I am an old man living in Australia. I am about as far away from Rome as you can get. But for my six years of high school, I studied Latin. It was a compulsory subject back then for anyone going on to study Law or Medicine at university. I clearly remember reading texts of scholars from Rome and also books written by Caesar. It was my favourite subject at school and it brought to life Roman civilisation in the original language. Thank you for reawakening those memories for me. I hope that I could visit Rome before I die.

We visited in late May a few years ago, the Forum was overwhelming even with the signs and audio stations. This is just about perfect, the only thing missing is the smell of the flowers and the cackling of the gulls.(Italian seagulls have their own accent, like hysterical laughter) I can't wait to go back. Rome, and the rest of Italy, is just too much for one trip.

I was going in 2020 which was Covid cancelled-thought the only chance I would ever have in my advancing life. I come back to this video time and time again. Because of this video, I connected with the tour company that provided the delightful narrator. And when my wife and I go to Italy next year, she is going to be our tour guide through the Forum, Colosseum and throughout the city! Great how things work out!

Thank you so much! So many “tours” like this on KZread but this one is great quality. It feels complete, relaxed and professional.p, especially with the narration matching what we’re seeing. I visited in a wheelchair just over 10 years ago and didn’t get to go to some of the areas so it was wonderful to see more of the areas and just to relive the parts I did see after having learned so much more of the history since then.

Got to love this. Ground level look at ancient Rome and clear narration. This has to be the best video I have seen.

Its actually so sad that this place was once magnificent, we can't even imagine how amazing it was back then in ancient rome, and nowadays its quite amazing visiting this amazing magical place, even if sadly there are but little pieces left from most of these once upon a time magnificent buildings.

Had planned to visit the Roman Forum early June 2020, except that covid got in the way. Even though I could not see the forum in person, this was a great substitute.
