Фильм және анимация

- Space
- Time
- Emotion

oh god. when he doesn't come back from the bathroom. gut wrenching.
I have this acquaintance who’s obcessed with watching and analysing movies. Before I watched this movie, I read by several critics that it was a near masterpiece. When someone asked this guy about it while I was around, he said it was “pretentious and overrated” and that it wasn’t nearly as good as Netflix painted it. I watched it yesterday, and can safely say I lost my trust in that guy’s judgement. He isn’t as smart and knowledgeable as we painted him to be.

Just because he didn't like it doesn't make him unintelligent. Some movies I've also changed my opinion on over time after I focused on different details. When I first saw Blade Runner, I didn't care for it much at all, but every time I see it, I like it more and more and now it's probably in my list of favorites.
Your channel is underrated af

Thanks! I feel it's the culmination of everything he has learned from his past movies!
I just loved this movie. Such a fine recreation of a slice in time in someones life.
Ojalá todos pudieran percibir la belleza de esta película.
I remember watching this movie when it came out, stupidly wanting to dislike it because of the hype, and not feeling very impressed until the beach scene came and floored me. Years have passed and now I'm a father of two children, including a 3 month old baby girl, and rewatching that scene, along with the baby one, made me bawl incontrollably.
Roma is probably my favorite movie of all time
its like watching a van gogh painting not everyone can see the genius of it me ! i cried at the beach with them and said out loud '' i love you Cleo ''

Thank you for the sub! The moment I finished watching this movie I just had to write an essay about it! Favorite movie of 2018!
I have never seen a more beautifully and elaborately, and carefully and respectfully analyzed and felt commentary about a film. This video and your own masterful work in communicating with us the incredible depth of art liberated my own frustrations in guiding my mind through a journey into my heart. Bravo

I rewatched this video. I found the discussion of the film's narative, emotion and time, is thought provoking.
Your videos really make me ponder life, thank you for the great content! Truly deserves more views!
this movie was subtly excellent and a large dose of nostalgic, the moment I noticed the audience and critics far apart views on the movie I knew it was totally worth it.

I watched this movie with Spanish subtitles for AP Spanish summer work. I didn't understand every word spoken but I understood enough to make sense of it. I loved the use of sound; one of my favorite moments was when the mother is standing on the street as the marching band gets louder and louder until it's just blaring in your ears. Reminded me of Shostakovich's "Leningrad" Symphony that gradually incorporated a theme from a German work to represent the Nazis taking over. The opening shot was one of the best I've seen too; it's so slow and establishes that the rest of the film also takes its time for each shot. Great movie overall and excellent analysis.
I’m adopted, my mother was native Mayan and she was a maid, she was 18 when she had me and there was no father. I was left at a foster home, alone in the cold on the doorstep, and was adopted by a beautiful family that i truly hold dear to my heart, but like the film the family was and is very privileged so i felt like a maid myself always trying to be something that I’m not, trying to find what i lost. This film made me glimpse into the mind and memory of the very thought of my mother. And while at the end of the film, Cleo cries out “I didn’t want to have her”, and it truly crushes my very existence I know that Cleo would’ve loved that baby regardless and does. She displays true maternal love even while holding her dead child. Sometimes the things you love the most you let go but they’re never really truly lost. Sometimes, even if they die, their impact leaves everything on you. I may not know my true mom but i love her even it may have felt as if she “didn’t want me” she loved me enough to let me live the life i want to lead and I encompass her love eternally and internally. This film speaks to me so much more than any other film and I hold it dear in my soul, just like my mom.
Another great video and interesting interpretation of the film. Can't wait to see more content from the channel, keep up the good work!
