The snowflake button is not air conditioning. It's what the handbook refers to as the "manual" transmission mode, for poor grip conditions.

This was very interesting to watch. It is a luxury quality car and all the switches and buttons were advanced even at the time your car was made I expect. TY for sharing!

Those temperature adjust wheels are the best ergonomic design ever. I had them on an E32 7 Series (80s) and I never gave temperature a second thought, just a quick subconscious adjustment here and there, and they work by touch perfectly; you never need to look down. In moderns I obsess over whether it’s exactly the right number, you have to look down to find the button and you have to keep looking down while the number changes in half degree increments, and it encourages you to be over fussy. On your wheels, just like my 7 there are no numbers, you would think that would be a problem but it’s not, it works and it’s a design still used to this day on the Phantom.

The stereo remote control is for when you can afford an “ idol loafer” and you decide what classical music you want played from your position in the rear while smoking your cigar and drinking a whisky 🥃 what meet are you going to tomorrow/ monday

I think the missing tool might be the spark plug socket. Love the car by the way.

Again I could not help but notice no picnic tables in the back, standard on the mark 1V version, and long wheelbase Silver Spur.I see you did not mention that all these cars, including your vehicle have a secret compartment fitted for valuables. As this should never be revealed to non owners of Rolls_Royce and Bentley. On you turning the key on,wonderful to see all engine ⚠ warning lights switch off .Wish I could say the same about my Silver Spirit !. Happy 😊 motoring to you....

This car is pretty much how I would have ordered it new, with the addition of picnic tables.

You have just answered a question for me! I have just bought a Silver Seraph and good as gold the handbook is missing, all the service history there, biut no owners handbook. No big deal except that I have been weeks trying to figure out some of the controls. How do you set the clock, then I found it in the glove box. I was pondering on the button which has what looks to me like the end of a rubbish skip with a line throught, so it turns off the electric windows. Thanks for that. All I am left with is "ACC", Accessories? - if so what doe sit do, anyone know? I have to say that in the old days the Silver Shadow, I had one in the 1970s, was the same as the old Mk2 Jags, everything labelled in English, no dots wiggles or acronyms. If memory is serving me correct. I would rather have it that way.

I can only agree that sitting in the back is indeed lovely. But… BUT… The last time I was in the back of. Rolls Royce happily going along a dual carriageway, the driver was rather rude!
