When I was a kid my brother would save himself time by having me roll his cigarettes for him with a similar roller as the first one you demonstrated. I didn’t mind it was kind of fun for a 10 year old.

It may be because your tobacco is "thick". Some brands are "thicker" then others. If that's the case, you can either try to scissor it to small pieces, or don't put so much in the machine. But when you have an empty bottom in your tube, most of the time, you just hold the tube in the middle (gently) while dashing the bottom to the table a couple of times, until you see the tobacco falls down there.

Been using el-cheapo on and off for 40yrs. This model, although the tin is thinner, the heavily punched design strengthens it. The "rolling blind" is the best they have used. This is when I started smoking, 'n toking'.

we can't afford made cigs. switched to pipe tobacco and tubes. love it and I just use a slider I've had for about. three years. practice a while and it gets faster. I had to learn not to put too much tab. in.a little always seems to come out the end.

Unfortunately I have been smoking for 35 years. I use the hand roller like the first one you showed. I really need to quit but it is to damn addicting. I did manage to stop for a month but then my mom and father in law passed away with in 30 days of each other. That years was a rough year. Between my wife's family and mine, we lost a total of 6 family members all within 6 months.

When people make their own cigarettes, they smoke less NOT because they have to spend time rolling them, but because tobacco companies put AMONIUM (yes!) - amonium speeds up the intake of the nicotine into the human body, and after smoking a cigarette you want to smoke again very soon. Yes, that is true. If you do not believe, buy a pack of cigarettes. I smoke 5-6 self-made ones without even trying to cut down on smoking where I smoked a pack of "factory" ones.

Cans are expensive. I go with the big bags of pipe tobacco. Crank injector is far far better than the slider. Someone below said they break down? The Top-O-Matics are solid metal and never seen one break. My uncle has been using his same one for years. $45 well spent.

Agree with nice voice - it's pleasure to listen Marianne. :) But I wouldn't accent on "cheapness" of own cigarettes. Most important thing is that you smoke BEST tobacco in the world! No matter what price or how long you make 'em. I use "Black bobs (rum)" and this is real enjoyment! Usually I smoked "Peter Styvesant (blue)", but after I studied how to roll cigarettes, I enjoy good, aromatic tobacco.

i make my own, i use menthol tubes and regular tabacco. i use pipe tabacco bcause it cheaper and i find the texture is different. i just dont like the shake when it gets real dry. take a little bit put in a seperate container and throw a apple wedge in their for a little moisture see how u like it.

For you weed smokers, you can always use the rolling machine for that too and it tastes smoother with a filter on it! Plus, it looks like a cigarette! I agree it is better for you than cigarettes, unfortunately it's only legal in a few states. I think the feds should legalize it, package it like cigarettes, control the amount of thc, so you get pleasantly buzzed but not so much you can't drive and tax it! They could wipe out the national debt with the taxes!! A win-win situation!

Sam's Club sells the Tops machine for about $34.95. Every place else it is around $49.95. You have to be sure to stuff each end of the hopper for regular. But if you roll 100, just remove the spacer on the side of the hopper and no need to stuff the right side because now you don't have to stuff under the spacer. There is very little difference in the amount of tobacco in a 100mm as compared to a king size. The filter is longer in a 100mm.

I've owned the top o matic and honestly I prefer the manual top machine and I have found that if after you load your tube if you just lightly push it back a little then forward again it helps pack your tobacco better then just 2 bumps on the table and your off to the next tube. As for the top o matic I've found that tobacco gets under it inside that rubber cover and causes it to not run smoothly I've also had other issue's aswell. With the little top machine I can bang out 2 packs for myself and my wife in just ten minutes time. We use the good stuff brand that's what I like.

@@daitedve1984 Mine was the blue painted version and was ordered from a legit distributor. I just find the manual little guy more convenient and simple just like anything we all like what we like and there isn't anything wrong with that. I've seen these electronic one's but I can't imagine they really come out as good as the manual machines.

This is going to help smokers save a lot of money beats spending 10$ a pack in California.I only spent 25$ for everything now I got 200 cigarettes or more

Tubing isn't a thing. Injecting is however. Tubes are what the tobacco is injected into.

I used to use the cheap manual tops one. I had it down to 15 minutes per pack (20 cigarettes). I quit smoking 4 years ago.

I have to pack mine every single time on the hand held device. Making my 100 papers wasted...but it's easier to pack them individually with 100s so there is a smaller mess after(pinching ends before packing)

this looks interesting. i just use a normal manual roller. i use normal rizzler papers and filter tips. i sit down everyday and make 14 roll ups. it takes me a good 30 minutes.

Hello, sir .. We live in a place where we don't have access to good quality tobacco. I made a cigarette with these tobaccos, but the cigarette goes out. Is the extinguishing of a cigar due to the structure of the tobacco leaf itself?

I just fill it up. After a while you get a feel for how much .If you get to much it will get stuck and if you dont use enough it wont stuff right

a friend of mine introduced me to rolling my own years ago. Saves money and you smoke less. altough i prefer my camels but when you are on low income you got to settle for rolling them. I tell others who smoke to switch to this method it will save them money.

I have the little Top machine and use the standard Zen papers but my cigarettes burn way too quickly (like 5 drags and done). Any tips? Thanks.

Thanks for the great video i just purchased on of the top o matics yesterday one of the biggest problems I faced is I like to roll a bunch at a time since I'm never really home to make more and they end up getting dry fast unlike a pack that's sealed in plastic is there a particular way you'd store them to prevent this

Wet a paper towel. Squeeze out excess water. Put towel into a sandwich bag- leave bag somewhat open. Put this and your rolled cigarettes into a plastic container with a lid. The moisture will permeate your cigarettes a bit, help keep them moist. Do not allow the wet towel to contact the cigarettes. Also, you can buy humidor stones, but the wet towel is cheaper. Also try misting your tobacco very lightly with water about 10 minutes before rolling so it is moister to start out with.

I have not looked at this video recently. Yes the cans are very expensive now. I buy Southern Steel pipe tobacco, a 16 oz bag costs 13.99 a bag in Nashville. The machine is worth it to me because it is fast and rolls them perfectly most of the time. I do appologize to everyone that I have not updated the info on the tobacco price.

Rolling your own is way better, especially if you buy additive free tobacco like Pueblco Classic. I use luxury cigarette tubes for outdoors to avoid it looking like a joint lol, unbleached rolling paper for indoors, a paper filter, smoke to mouth, no inhaling, used to smoke 1 pack a day for 11 years, 3 years of vaping all day, now 5 without inhaling, and don’t feel foggy.

Ive been a smoker for long time and I found rolling them helps you cut back if I have my camels i am up to a pack a day when stressed. My dad is 65 and has smoked since he was 15 hhe's pretty healthy too. I'm not saying smoking is good but I know its one of the hardest to stop and it's enjoyable. I don't like people who nag on us smokers its annoying as hell and they need to mind their business.

The 16oz bag is pipe tobacco.Ciggarette tobacco is super expensive still

It's amazing how cheap loose tobacco is over there, 12.5 grams is around £3.80 ($6) in the uk, and the biggest size we can get is 50 grams or around 2 ounces; and thats around £12 ($22)

That's easy to say if you are not on a limited income! I am on ss, so have to count my pennies. I use to buy 3 carton a month prepackaged and it cost me $40. per carton! I didn't mind paying it then because I was working. My income went down almost half when I retired so had to cut costs. Rolling my own only costs me $20. per month for 3 cartons! Big difference! I also think because the tobacco comes right out of the field it doesn't have additives packaged cigs do and are better for you.

I tried the e cigarette and it tasted weird and made me cough a lot. Not to mention that it cost me $39. for the starter kit (cigarette, charger and 10 filters) so I gave it away! I decided to roll my own. I buy a 12oz bag of mild blend ($11.99) and 3 boxes of tubes (papers and filters) for $3.00 a piece and that makes almost 3 cartons of cigarettes and lasts me a month! I use to spend $120. on cigarettes a month now I am spending $20. a month! I don't think the tobacco has additives either.

What tobacco can we use in the UK that's same consistency as dried cigarette tobacco and not that wet roll your own junk...??

You need some moisture to your tobacco or it burns up in 5 hits. Gives it a slower steady burn. Diff brands have diff amounts of moisture. Don't know about what's available in UK though. Sorry.

I love my top o matic. Also they are only like 30 bux. And electric ones suck just fyi

@ELYKPromotions You can always just roll them, pack it nice and tight, and then pull or cut off the filter. It's not as effective other methods but it would work if someone is really that lazy.

At the end of the video when she said you will have to redo them it's because she's using the tamper to pack it honestly that works crappy and it will need redone more than it should I find just repeatedly opening and closing the roller until it's packed works best and they don't need redone
