My guess is that, gven the timing, this recording is somehow the property of ABCKO. No decent outtakes from records owned by that Allen Klein-founded company have yet been released. I wish Mick & Keith would splurge a little and buy back the copyrights to their old material (the way McCartney did with Sony Music a few years ago). And then open up the vaults!

@@johnschlosser5824 You may be right..hard to believe Mick and Keith (or any artist under the age of 60 for that matter) would give up or sell their copyrights away. I just saw Nikki Sixx sold his songs...guess it's better to get a lump sum now. The music business is just that.

The greatest mistake the Stones ever made was not doing WHATEVER IT TOOK, to keep Mick Taylor in the band. For starters, they could have PAID him. He was given no credits on SEVERAL albums---in other words, no residuals. In addition, his mates should have helped him with drug addiction and got him the help he needed to stay with the band. They did not... With all due respect to Keith Richards---on Mick Taylor's WORSE DAY, Keef couldn't hold a candle to him. Make no mistake, Keith Richards is a very good guitarist. Mick Taylor is a GREAT guitarist. A guitar genius. Right up there with Hendrix, Clapton, and Santana. No doubt about it. The five albums he produced with the Stones from '69-'74 are all classics. The band was never the same after 1974.

Cool video. Nothing like the fusion between the public and the Stones. If it could be transformed in energy it could illuminated the all town. Ron has nothing to do in this video

This tune is smoking. They should have worked on this some more, improve the vocal track and release on Exile.

Outtake just means it didn't make it onto an official release. Something only played once can be an outtake. What you're thinking of is "unreleased take".

@@spinalcrackerbox Your definition is right however anything recorded isn't necessarily a "take" only the unused takes recorded during the official album studio session is an "outtake". The name is actually self explanatory.
