Whenever you see glimpses of him as a dad, friend or just a guy doing his job it's crazy when you look at that crowd & this is normal to him?!

I have a coffee cup and a t-shirt with a photo on the front of Keith Richards and my late brother, Charlie, with their arms around each other's shoulders, big smiles on their faces. I receive these shortly after he died. They had just finished playing a set of ol' blues tunes together at a club in Connecticut when this photo was taken. Oh, Charlie, my brother, my brother, how I miss you! In fact, I was with my brother Charlie the first time I heard this song: The opening track of The Stones' 'Some Girls' album.

The best job in the world !!! being in a band that makes millions of people happy with their songs....no matter what colour you are, what politic view you have......its just the music and the crowd!!

I enjoy Keith Richards autobiography when he toured by himself he gained a new appreciation how difficult it is and how much energy required to be a lead singer

Mick was asked about pre show nerves once & he said : " look, if you're about to perform to 50/60/80 thousand people & you don't feel some nerves then YOU'RE NOT FUNCTIONING!!". ( enormous grin)

After so many years the feeling is the same: the heart beating faster prior to going on stage and it has been going for many decades. These men's hearts must have been specifically wired to have withstood such a great deal of pressure. Phew! I salute you gentlemen!

They have they own rituals to maintain cohesion and energie to confront and satisfied their public, great live band (and studio too).

That was 19.Aug. 2003 at the beginning of the show Mick made this gesture because Keith f---ed up the intro of Brown Sugar a little bit

Right before and as Mick takes the stage...that's the rush of performing!!

You get some really random thoughts too (Mick’s example was wondering how the gutters are holding up back in England as there was a rainstorm there at the time he was doing a show somewhere else in the world.)

Yes Andre, definitively in August as we shot in Paris in July then went back to New York for editing and left again to meet the band in Amsterdam in August.

From 1967 till November 1969 the Rolling Stones were not touring because of Brian Jones and because of their drug bust finally they got two albums Beggars Banquet 1968 and Let It Bleed 1969 a lot of that stuff they still play today but after they got back on with touring they never stopped since I can't remember two or three years that they didn't come to the states since 1969 which is really incredible when you think about it because when they weren't here they were over in Europe or South America or the Far East. That's 50 years on the road more or less.

There must of been nights where Mick just did not feel up for it but did it ever show no never always seemed to be bang on it every damn night suppose same said for the rest of the band.

I think it took less crew and equipment to send a man to the moon than to produce a Stones show.

I saw them in Madrid in 2006 if my memory doesn't fail me. Objectively it was ok, it's the best adjective I can put on it. I would give anything to have seen them in any concert from 1969 to 1973

No sorry again. Not Twickenham stadium but the stadium of Amsterdam. I shot in Paris and Amsterdam but could not make it to London as we had to deliver the footage for the DVD,
