Inline skating is dangerous. In some situations, I may choose to skate

I've had these for roughly two months and can confirm they are amazing. I've skated everything from urban areas and city streets to the skating rink-they can handle it all beautifully. Yesterday I skated a beltline for almost 3 hours and my feet were fine! On top of comfort, they look stellar-so sleek and mean. I LOVE them.

The Twister XT worked like magic for me. I'm hitting 64 and I've picked up Inline Skating last year. At that age you avoid falling and gettin hurt like the plague, since bones break a LOT easier and recovering times seem endless. The support in these skates and the feeling of stability and control is so amazing that I went from plain fitness skating to riding on pumptracks, in skateparks, on rough urban surfaces, crossing tramway rails etc. Just fantastic. On a sidenote: I wish Rollerblade would build an additional Twister XT version with 4x90s plus a little longer frame for more stabilty at higher speeds. I tried the 3x110 which are fast but still have too short a framebase imho and the extra height make my flimsy ankles pronate.

Have you tried endless frames? They have the endless 90 that should fit up to your boots... I think 😅. Roughly 200 or 3 something if you get the hydrogen 90 wheels and some good bearings with them.

@@hisnameisiam808 Funny you mention that: I've just mounted endless 4x90 frames to my Twister XTs the other day and tested them on a pumptrack. What can I say... this is absolute MAGIC! The added stability PLUS agility (balanced rockers) PLUS better accellaration PLUS better control are beyond belief. And I still use the 80mm Hydrogen wheels that came with my Twister XTs. Just heaven. (btw: I bought the Rollerblade 4x90 Maxxum XTs a while ago, those are kind of 4x90 Twisters but sadly the buckles are crap and ruin the straps within weeks.)

Follow up - I've been skating on these 2022 US 9.0 model now - for almost 12 hours now. They are some of the most comfortable skates I've ever skated on. The liners are incredible. No hot spots, they are just-right. I only use the sizing insole on my right foot. The shells are where they should be for my size. Not to bulky like the 2018 models. These just work for me. I'm not a wizard skater like you but I do cardio, rink, trail skating and a lot of jam, dance stuff, slalom. I think Rollerblade hit a home run here.!🤙

I do love the cuff extra plastic, at first I was fighting it a bit, but once I got a hang of how to do it easily I appreciate is there along with the stiff tongue so the skate is really supportive.

It's been more than a 15 yrs since I last rollerblade. I just went on my first skate and did 13 miles. It was fun to start knocking the rust off. I went with the 11-11.5 witch is my actual shoe size. I returned the 12-12.5. I know usually with rollerblades they suggest going down a size but with these I don't think that's the case these are pretty true to size and fit pretty snug with minimal toe wiggle room. Im happy with my purchase just need to continue knocking off rust and learning how to powerslide

I wanted to point out 2 things The anti torsion box isn't the metal mounting plates it's actually that square that's cut out in the center of the boot, with reinforcement there to prevent the boot from flexing And i have both versions of the edge (X/XT) and while i have heard numerous skaters mention the mold changed i can't find any evidence of this, the extra width and better fit are solely from the new liners which are thinner and slightly denser. For cons i would say a better insole and shock absorber would be nice but really doesn't matter.

  • @jacobpaint

I loved the edit at the start, great shots, I’m guessing you work in video production. The talking to camera shot would have looked better out of the camera. It looked fine and you could say was good enough because the shortcomings due to KZread compression don't really detract from the video in a meaningful way. Having a single-colour backdrop is always going to mean that KZread adds a lot of digital noise. I wonder if some subtle lines through the grey would make it so that KZread could display the solid colour areas without all the noise.... Might have to try it myself when I get the chance.

Treated me to a pair today... I like the comfort and heel lock of the stock liner but beeing used to Intuition's still had to change them... One downside is that my Endless frame is not exactly centered, it would be so cool if RB would add multiple mounting points like FR 😬 The response of this skate is unmatched by any other plastic skate, sizing is perfect for me, going down a size adds even more control 🤩

I have wide feet. I can ride a 43 in the RB and it fits me perfectly. The xt (43/44) is too narrow at the ankle. it takes much more time to break in for the liner to fit perfectly.

I'm trying to decide between these and the new Lighting 80. I was a huge skater in the 90s (I rode the old Lightning II). I just bought a pair of K2 Kinetic and they are horrible I keep falling over the outside of the blade and the frame is molded into and are unadjustable, they were such a mistake. I'm almost 50 and I thought there was something wrong with me and not the skate at first.

I have not been on the new Lightnings yet but want to. That being said they don't carryover any heritage from og Lightnings unfortunately. I love the Twisters.

@@ThirtyandRollin I loved my 90s lightnings, do you think I would be happier with the Twister? The lighting is $199 and the Twister is $349. That's a big price difference, I just want a skate that's going to be comfortable and I'm not rolling over the outside of the frame.

I would rather have a 4x90mm setup instead of the 80's and the color scheme looks boring, only black. Twister SE is the same skate I believe with better colors. I wish rollerblade had that but as 4x90. Anyway, great video.

I agree. I think RB could release a few variations of this skate with different frames. I don't skate the stock frames anyways.
