I appreciate someone finally saying that you can do dance skating on a heel-less boot cuz everywhere I’ve seen implies otherwise. I’m glad that I didn’t start with the “wrong one” 💫

I began my roller skating journey about two months back. I own a pair a “Lolly Roller Skates.” , About two months back, I had “Fundance”85a wheels on my skates and I was not able to roller skate on the indoor-wood flooring. Once I switched to the 92a wheels, I noticed an immediate difference. FYI, I am in the process of upgrading my roller skates. I will make sure to have a Powerdyne aluminum plate and 101a Roller Bones wheels!🌟 Thank you, for the lesson.😃

So I wanna get a pair for dancing. I come from skateboarding and rollerblading. I feel Im probably more comfortable without a heel. Would I dance better with a heel? And if the answer is no, what brand will you recommend for a flat skate to dance on? Also might roll a bit outdoors. Thanks.

Hi, I don't know if you will see this since its a two year old video, but I'm middle aged and want to get into skating again. No dance moves here, I just want to keep my hips and knees healthy and not get hurt if I fall down. So from your video I need wide, soft wheels, wide toebox, low heel and padded ankle. How do I find this skate without paying a fortune for custom?

I'm looking for my first skates, I'm really liking the boot of Chaya and the prices honestly. But I'm pretty overweight would a nylon plate be able to hold my weight? Or a metal plate?

Khi Hart, thanks so much for your comments. The Chaya boots and their price range is very affordable indeed. In terms of your body weight I'm gonna say go for it. The nylon plate that comes with the Chaya Melrose Elite range comes with the Chaya shari plate, which is made of nylon and fibreglass for reinforcement. Even the metal plated Chaya's will be good for you, though I would personally pay a bit extra to get the Shari plate set-up. I hope this answer helped you! Pain

Thank you for this video! I’m a SUPER beginner, I only weigh 100 lbs (not sure if that makes a difference or not), and I bought a pair of Roller Derby 750’s. But all I want to do right now is balance and glide with some style in the rink. What would you suggest? 💜🛼

I have feet problems, my arches have fallen and I noticed when wearing the regular skates with the heels my feet tend to hurt. Will the flat skate be better for feet problems?

  • @MadameQuadHK

uh feet problems eh! yea we have definitely noticed similar things and for a few of us a flatter heel tends to help, you can also look into getting some orthopaedic insoles for your skates and/or exercises for your feet.

The specific brand we are talking about in the Chaya Sunset beach. I'm not sure where you are at, but maybe look at local skate shops!
