It would be rad for Disney to make a surfcoaster branded to Aladdin (magic carpet ride). It could go through the Cave of Wonders as it collapses, with lava themed water effects as you escape the cave with the lamp. Could be cool.

I feel like FLY does everything so well, even without any theming it would be an amazing ride. In the front you get some really fun airtime. And then the back gives some absolutely insane positives. Then the theming ontop of it makes it a brilliant package
Easily S&S El Locos are the model I'd push most to see more of. They're basically 'grown up' wild mice that are significantly more thrilling while being fairly affordable for medium sized parks.
@me-myself-i787
Жыл бұрын
It's probably too similar to the Eurofighter, which many parks already have. And the parks which don't have them are probably larger parks which need higher-capacity rides, or smaller parks which can't afford them. The El Loco solves neither of those issues.
@FunkAndFluff

@@me-myself-i787Perhaps, although the subject of this video is models we wish we saw more of. There are few very thrilling coasters out there which can fit on such tiny plots of land. It was still affordable enough for parks like Indiana Beach and I think it was an excellent addition to the Adventuredome in Las Vegas. Even with it being a really fun model, I'll openly acknowledge it can also seem redundant at parks that already have coasters like Eurofighters, wild mice, etc.
You two are so good at making videos together, I’ve never seen two people record a video where they both get a pretty even time talking with it still sounding natural. It’s like you don’t hear them interrupt each other, but it also doesn’t look or sound like they’re reading off a script. Really impressive and something that I think a lot of people don’t really notice.

No other type of coaster flows like a fully swinging suspended coaster. The inverted rigid-mount coaster is a poor man's version and just whips riders around.
in this case I'd say it's more of "I wish this ride type could make a return" but I'd really love to see more swinging suspended coasters. I've only ever done The Bat at King's Island, but it's so much fun! I'd also think that, decades later, companies like S&S should be able to fix some of the flaws Arrow's designs had, like their durability

Speaking of Straddle coasters, I want the Vekoma motorbike coaster to take off! They have a great sense of speed with great fast banked turns. We just got Tron, but that’s been the only installation since 2011. Boosterbike At Toverland fits amazingly in that park, and I also have a soft spot for velocity at Flamingoland. @VestedUTuber

The problem with the HyperGTX is that they're too small for the big parks, and for the price a smaller park could get a similarly-sized wooden coaster and several other rides. It's the same reason why Intamin Mega-Lites don't sell well. As for the 4D, they're a massive investment.

@@VestedUTuber HyperGTXes are basically Raptors if they didn't have a single rail, and Raptors sell pretty well right now! If they made the layout more intense and added a few inversions like Lech Coaster they would probably sell pretty well! Or parks could just get a bermuda blitz...
@VestedUTuber
Жыл бұрын
@@lightningboat Cost is still a factor. RMC's single-rail track design vastly reduces costs, as it's just made from plate and extruded steel and can simply be bolted together. The HyperGTX's track design is a lot more complex and has to be welded together, and that increases the cost of fabrication. Same goes for Intamin's truss box track on their Mega-Lites. Additionally the RMC Raptor train design is suited to extremely compact layouts, so the minimum size for a Raptor is a lot smaller than that of a HyperGTX.
What about the Art Engineering Mega Coaster. I know that lagoon had someone else do the track manufacturing but I think that the model has fantastic potential and needs more models
• I agree with the new flying Dutchman coasters. F.L.Y. is just too good for it to be a one a kind. • Gerstlauer family coasters are probably the best out there currently. The ideas are amazing. A new one for 2023 is Firlefranz in Germany. You launch backwards onto a spike and go through the layout normally first and then again backwards. • I wanna say we need more Vekoma STC's. Only one is operating, Hals über Kopf in Germany. Suuuuuper smooth. • What I wanna add to the list now is maybe a bit controversial. Maurer Sky Loops. The prototype on Germany still rides like new and the Hangtime is just awesome.

@@100DollarHeadache Well they aren't the best coaster in the rain. Half the time they can't ride.
Six Flags New England is in DESPERATE need of a top notch launch coaster. Intamin or the new Vekoma launch coasters would give the park an awesome trifecta of Superman, Wicked Cyclone, and then the launch coaster.
Intamin Inverts, preferably launched, imagine Velocoaster or Pantheon like layout but inverted.
I really feel like SFMM is gonna get vekoma to breathe new life into viper instead of tearing it down🤞
I would like to see more gerstlauer hyper infinity coasters like der schwur des karnan at Hansa park. And gci hybrid coasters with inversions and infinity flyer trains like the new Zambezi zinger.
We really need to see more large scale Gravity Groups. The Voyage and Hades are superb. But nothing like these are build anymore.
Watch Knotts install a "Pipeline" style hyper coaster in place of that Giga coaster that I'm still hoping for here on the West Coast.
S&S 4D is definitely at the top of the list for me. I'd also like to see RMC do more Topper track woodies. I realize that a lot of people assume Lightning Rod killed that but the reliability is still low and that has more to do with the launch than just the track type. I think the Topper track could still be used for lift hill coasters. And similarly, we need Intamin to build more prefabs. Nothing by Gravity Group or GCI compare to the RMC Topper track woodies or Intamin prefab (and that includes the good but overrated Voyage.)
IF....Cedar Fair decides to bring back the Orient Express to WoF, I wish they'd ask Chance Rides or Vekoma to do it. The stats wouldn't have to be record breaking, it's a fan favorite like the Zambezi was, so people would get excited no matter what.
I feel like the success of 4D free spins hurts the likelihood of parks getting new non-free spin 4D coasters. Your average guest probably won't realize how different the 2 are since they have similar gimmicks, so why would a park pay $30 million for a massive 4D coaster that needs a big plot of land when they can get the same gimmick on a small footprint for 1/3 of the price (couldn't easily find and real numbers, but the one i did find said they're $10 million).

The X2/Eejanaika/Dinoconda model of rail-controlled 4D flips now seems massively overengineered--if you were designing that kind of thing from scratch today you might use the Guardians of the Galaxy model of battery-powered motors under computer control. And the Free Spin just leaves out control entirely (though I guess there are track magnets that induce some of the flipping), which makes the whole system simpler.
Video suggestion: best coaster elements you’d like to see more of :)
Up next roller coaster elements we need more of: 1. More station fly-thrus

I think a mach extreme spinner would also do really good at Hershey or Cedar Point. Cedar Point in particular could do something crazy with it and it just makes sense that they have that model

#! for me: Arrow Suspended Coaster (Vortex at CW, Bat at KI) . This ride IMO has INSANE potential. I absolutely love this type of ride. If you want to see what this ride is capable of go watch a POV of Eagle's Fortress. That was INSANE>
Id love to see more swinging suspended coasters. I recently rode Iron dragon and it was so much fun.
Arrow suspended coasters pleeeeease 🤩 also yes to modern Vekomas
I LOVE SPINNING COASTERS!! I was waiting for you to mention them lol 😭
The Intamin vertical lift coaster model like Fahrenheit would be great. They’re so unique but they’re also small and don’t require a ton of room
1. I wish Gravity Group did more large scale wooden coasters (150 feet+). Hades 360 is good and we all know The Voyage is amazing so they've proved they can make great large wooden coasters. 2. B&M Flyers or new Vekoma flyers at least in the US. 3. Roller soakers. I know this model is pretty much extinct but it thought they were pretty fun especially on hot days. Though I'd like to have more of a similar water war type model in the US 4. Intamin prefabs. While these have encountered some issues recently these are still great rides that I wish there'd be more of. 5. RMC topper track. Everything RMC makes is fantastic. Since these count as wooden roller coasters so I'm sure a park somewhere could build one of these to break every record for a wooden roller coaster and make it a mind blowing experience. 6. I'd like a launched coasters that have the power of the hydraulic and reliability of LSMs. I'm baffled that in 2023 that engineers haven't figured out either how to make the hydraulic launch as reliable as the LSM, make LSMs as powerful as hydraulic (which I think is possible), or make a new launch that's as powerful as the hydraulic launch and reliable as the LSMs.
I hope Circuit Breaker opens soon and we get more Tilt Coasters soon
I’d love to see the B&M Surf at Knott’s Berry Farm! Right over the lake across from Hang-time.
There needs to be more rcca wooden hypers with vertical loops
I think zeirer should make more drop track coasters. (Verbolten)
@100DollarHeadache
Жыл бұрын
I wonder why there aren't more Zierer Elevated Seating Coasters in general. Verbolten is the only one in the US now (Crossbow is now in Sweden). I am not a fan of Verbolten as the ride grossly overshot the intensity for a family coaster (and the show building is an eyesore and not very good inside), but if they gave it another shot at another park (and if it had a drop track, the drop should be longer to give a decent moment of freefall rather than just a pop and a slam), I'd give that a fair evaluation.
Dollywood will get a Vekoma thrill coaster next. They likely bought a coaster package from Vekoma. I should go to Vegas.
I would love to see more coasters like Cosmic Rewind, where there is a controlled spin that points you to what it wants you to see. I had a blast with that ride.
My home park is Gardaland... We desperately need a new major coaster, we haven't seen one since 2015. Now, there are a few options in my opinion, but my biggest dream would be a Mack X-treme Spinner, and considering that Merlin is working with Mack for Exodus, it may not be as impossibile as it sounds... Merlin also loves to work with B&M, so a Surf Coaster could be another possibility, and I wouldn't mind it at all, although Gardaland deserves a truly standout coaster imo. And if the park decides to go for a family/thrill type of ride, something like Juvelen would be absolutely amazing. Whatever the model is going to be, I think Gardaland needs a launched. We have too many lift hills lol

They could replace blue tornado with an STC would be a major upgrade
We need an invert here at Kennywood. A Vekoma STC would be a perfect fit for us. We work well with Sansei.
It does seem like most US park chains have the coaster brands they like to stick to, and don't want to take risks with a new kind of ride... On a side note, I'd love to see a video of you going over the evolution of coasters, how 20-30 years ago, it was all about breaking records and being as intense as possible, but now it seems parks are way better at making rides just plain 'fun', and don't care as much about height or speed records.
Having done all S&S compressed air launch coasters (except in China) we need MORE! I miss hypersonic so much at my home park. Looking at Max Force showing what they are capable of is exciting!
I’m pretty sure Hyper GTX never took off because there’s no quirk to it. Eurofighters have beyond vertical drops, Raptors ride on only one rail, etc. It certainly isn’t the cost though i’m pretty sure lightning run was $7 mil which is good for that price. My question would be though why did the Intamin mega lite get 5 sales if this didn’t, maybe because there were more parks that needed something like that at the time ig. And on the straddle coasters juvelen and jet rescue have both been for families they just happened to be more intense lol
We need more Larsen Loopers by Golly, each loop larger than the last. I'd like to see more Dinn Woodies with curvy layouts - cause less confusion for riders, maybe Dinn up that Steel Vengeance. JK Guys, great video, I'd love to see more of all the coasters mentioned, especially the Mack Spinner Model. I think one of these would be the perfect new coaster for Holiday World soon. It has that certain vibe to it.

I’d love to see S&S revive the suspended coaster. Vortex at CW is amazing and I wish I could have gotten to ride Eagle Fortress and Bug Bad Wolf before they were dismantled.
Great video! If you look at RCDB Lightning run only cost 7 million dollars. It is incredibly affordable and I think alot of smaller parks should look at investing in a coaster like it
Before Dollywood added Big Bear Mountain, I figured they would have added a Vekoma flyer or MACK extreme spinner
I feel like a vekoma flyer would fit perfectly on the hillside where mountain sliderwinder used to be. That part of the park is already aviation themed with Barnstormer. I’m not sure how big of a footprint an extreme spinner has, but that’s what I think Dollywood needs the most next
You guys need to think of Yukon quad at Le pal.
Ride to happiness was only actually 18 mil, which seems pretty affordable for the big chains, it would be a larger investment, but very doable for larger parks.

I could really use more boomerang coasters. 😋
Tbh I think that cedar point should get a b&m surf in the boardwalk area to complement the wild mouse
Honestly, its a damn shame the cost (and space) is probably the biggest reason we dont have as many giga coasters overall. Like give me more Fury 325, heck, even a little more tame version of I305 would be such a huge hit with the GP. I'm just grabby hands when it comes to gigas
i hope that liseberg puts spinning trains on helix
In terms of US, I do want to see more Gerstlauer Infinity models. I know they're starting to come now, but with their versatility, reliability, and relatively cheap cost, I want to see Infinity coasters everywhere! For me, I think a launched inversion machine would be the perfect replacented for Volcano at KD.
The one that is perfect for my home park is the Chance Hyper GTX. My home park is Michigan's Adventure. We desperately need a better steel coaster than Mad Mouse, Thunderhawk and Corkscrew. RCDB says Lightning Run was $7 million. I've also heard recently that our last addition, the relocated SLC cost about $10 million. So it seems to me like the Hyper GTX is probably the best coaster we could get in the range that Cedar Fair may be willing to spend on this park. Speaking of which, there's some brand new track on Shivering Timbers and tons of new track and NEW PROFILING on Wolverine Wildcat. Between that and the Titan track last year WW is becoming really good. Serious good ejector pops in the front row. Believe it or not it reminds me of Mystic Timbers! The last lap is still a meat grinder but it seems like it's getting a huge section of new track every year. Pretty soon it'll be brand new again. But better. I rode it when it was brand new, it's definitely becoming better.
Intamin should bring back the suspended catapult coaster! More launched inverts!!
Eejanaika for me is the greatest rollercoaster ever built. I can only dream they build one in Europe, but I can't see it ever happening.

I just rode it last month!!! It is far and away the most insane experience I have had on a coaster. I rank it 2nd behind Velocicoaster only because the ride system is not the most comfortable and / or re-rideable. But honestly that first drop is like being thrown out of a moving plane in a washing machine. When I saw mount fuji upside down I knew I was riding something Elite and Special!
Chance Hyper GTXs would be fantastic at any small park, I prefer it to the RMC in the same park, I really want to see more of those.
I feel like the surf coaster is a PERFECT fit for my home park, Six Flags over Texas. Unless they want to install an Intamin blitz, which is the dream.
I feel like there are some reasons why there aren’t more of these models. Surf coasters: Parks want to see how Pipeline performed before trying to buy one Hyper GTX: They can’t market it nearly as much if parks Next Gen Flying Coaster: I’m not sure, but the price could be expensive, however that is just speculation as I can’t find the price of fly anywhere Xtreme Spinner: Very expensive considering Leviathan (the giga) cost only about $2m more than time traveler. Millie costed the park $1m less (not factoring inflation) I305 costed the park the same as Millie (to be fair, it wasn’t exactly a hit.) Even top thrill dragster costed less than time traveler (not factoring inflation.) If these parks could build a high capacity, gp magnet giga, or a spinning coaster, I think they’d opt for the giga. Now if a park like KI with a large budget and already has a giga, I could see it. Extreme Straddle Coasters: Not sure. It feels like the only active buyer of these in America is the seaworld chain, and even then, they don’t make extreme versions. I just don’t think it fills many holes in a parks lineup or something. I’ve never been on one, so I can’t comment much on the ride experience, and I can’t find a price for any of these rides. Intamin Megacoasters: The parks that don’t either have an old gen version or an Intamin LSM are either new parks or don’t have the budget. Energylandia got Hyperion four years after the park was built which is pretty insane, and Kondaa was Walibi Belgiums fourth coaster after Compagnie des Alpes became independent in 2005. As you guys said, Intamin launches are also probably this models biggest competitor and they are opting for that because it has a similar ride experience and they may or may not cost less and definitely take up less space. Gerstlauer family coasters: there are twelve of these already not including one under construction and set to open in 2024. You just don’t think there are many because there aren’t many in the US New Gen Vekoma: I just don’t think American parks trust Vekoma after their terrible excuse of an invert even though Europe is popping with these. I think we are taking a step in the right direction with big bear mountain and circuit breaker however. I am certain there will be a fair amount of these by 2030. 4D coasters: I mean they cost almost as much as Time Traveler and take up a massive plot of land. It costed 25m USD or 3.5b Japanese yen.
I love this idea for a video. I wish the audio was louder !
Cedar Point needs a 4d coaster
I feel like true 4D coasters need to have a rework before they become popular installations. Wing coasters will inherently have a bit of a rattle just by the nature of the train's design, and that shakiness is increased exponentially when you add in the rack and pinyon mechanisms that allow the seats to flip on true 4Ds. Additionally, there is so much steel involved in 4D coasters, so there would need to be some way to make the track require less material so that they can be more affordable to build. ALSO, I think the world would benefit from installing some smaller 4D coasters as well; like, on the scale that Arrow originally intended them. I think that would be the most popular iteration of the 4D coaster we would ever see, if it were to ever come to fruition.
Just imagine Valleyfair adding something similar to Phonix and Lech Coaster to give them an elite ride I’ve been hoping for this for a long while

I wish they was a a 4d coaster in the UK I would also like a water coaster and more indoor ones as well
Thinking of kids on thrilling rides, it's really funny to see barely 48" kids on something like Iron Gwazi and ArieForce One. I've never been on a 4D coaster, but wanna try one
I'm would see a Vekoma Launch coaster going to at least one of the cedar fair parks.
I want to see a Vekoma 2nd generation Flying coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa, Universal Studios Florida, or Disney.
Surprised that you didn't add intamin pre fab woodies. Sure, the upkeep is a bit difficult but the ride experience is so so different from normal woodies. I love a good rattle but having that buttery smooth experience is just so cool on a woodie that is packed with airtime.
How about an Intamin spinner similar to Bakken's Tornado. The U.S. might not be ready for "boost mode" but an accelerated lift hill in a partially enclosed layout (fun house, haunted or mine theme) might work.
I'd LOVE to see more SFX coasters get built! My worry is the long production of Mission Ferrari will scare off US parks but i would be beyond onboard with that Avengers E-Ticket coming to Disneyland being the first SFX coaster in the US!
I expected to see Sandy’s Blasting Bronco on this list! Are there more of those anywhere?
Said it before, but I'll say it again. Cedar Point should absolutely consider replacing Corkscrew with a B&M Surf. It'd work well in that long, thin footprint if they don't add a Gerstlauer Infinity, and they can keep the iconic double corkscrew. And when Rougarou bites the dust, that'll be an insanely massive footprint for either a Mach XSC or modern Vekoma Flyer.
