crazy you don't even have 10K views on this by now. You do a really good job of explaining everything - including things people might not think of - like leaving the gaps for water and box flex. Because of your design i am seriously considering trying a box truck build - biggest selling points is lots of solar panel space and standing room and more than anything else, 24/7 AC.

Brad, catching up on missed programs. The DOOR🚪project worked out great. Glad you have your rear door🚪entry way now. To the Cold you had. They last 14 days or 2 weeks which ever appears 1st, LOL😁! For past many decades I have taken 1000mg Vit C w/Rose Hips morning🌞 & evening🌛. What your body never needs will go away. Have not had a Cold in a very long time & never want one. always, Tommy🤠

The roll up door gets old pretty quick 😂 I believe almost anyone could install a regular door with this method. You should give it a go

Another question is there a plastic or vinyl version of that wood panels that you put on the outside? I’m not sure if they sell anything that similar that’s as waterproof as what you have.. Thanks in advance.

Great update I install the door. I just have to put the outer panels on but I am really pleased. Thanks from so much for posting this video. I gave you a shout out. I don’t know if it means much on a little channel like mine but I’m really appreciative.

Have you had problems getting anything in and out of the van because of the small door access?

Hi Brad, love your videos!!! Did you remove all the door lift system garbage inside? Also, would there be any issues with doing the insulation and framing on the inside of the back door? I wont have a full door, just a flip up access door on the bottom since my bed is along the back so i can access underneath storage.

Yes I removed the large door lift spring at the top and yes you can insulate/frame on the inside if you like

Did you remove the tracks on the inside that the door rolls up on and if so, how ? Don't at least part of them nearest the door actually hold the door in place ?

This may seem like a dumb question but are rivets not the same as screws? Like if you have to remove a rivet do you always have to drill them out or can you unscrew them somehow?

Rivets are not screws. The only way to remove them is to drill them out

I used pvc molding from Home Depot and painted it black

Question: How long is the floor on the inside of the 14' Uhaul Box Truck? The Uhaul Truck Sales site seems to say the floor is 10' 9" in one place and another places seems to indicate that it is 11' 11" Thanks for your help.

I was actually able to get the same door on Facebook marketplace. An RV shop sometimes posts doors on there that aren’t necessarily used but they have good.some little like small, cosmetic flaws like a scratch on the inside. this is the only video I found on KZread that actually breaks down how to even approach doing this concept of installing a door. So I am going to follow it to the letter. Especially since the rear of the truck is about the same dimensions if not literally the same as my own.

Good question. For some reason one of my solar boards was painted green, the other was not. Not sure why. They both had the reflective backing on the other side
