It doesn't. He said that first the fools that don't understand what rare means, money isn't rare, any item made such as a watch can easily be rare, only a certain amount made of that edition and its rare. Most rich people are good with loans, paying it back, the more money printed by the fed reserve is the more loans can be taken out which in return means more money so the value of items should go up because there's extra money for it.

Rolex is like De Deers and those who own them keep them in their safes which reduces supply. Of course something is only worth what people are willing to pay for, but if everyone decided to sell their "investments" what would they really go for on the used market? I've heard Rolex makes 800,000 watches each year. That doesn't really sound like a supply issue.

Should be right around $16,000 on the grey market. Don’t pay more, they’ve been coming down since last year.

The Hulk is back 17,000, you ain't getting 20 for it.

jbarres80 41 is the new norm imho for bigger wrists, new subs are 41 but you don’t really feel the difference between the new and old one. Perhaps a deep sea? James Cameron? They’re pretty bulky and there are deals for them

I refuse to drink the cool aide and overpay for Rolex hot watches. If the watch can not be bought at a Rolex AD, I am not buying it. The Yacht-Master is available at ADs and it is much nicer than the hot watches.

NDA * I prefer the 40mm Yacht-Master I with platinum bezel and steel case. It comes in a blue dial or Rhodium dial. Both dials are great. Choose the one you like best. Forget about the Yacht-Master II. I am not a fan of the oyster-flex bracelet but some people love it. Just stick with the 40mm Yacht-master I. It is a much better choice than overpaying for hot watches.

Not Me ahh yes those are beautiful I was contemplating between the rose gold one with chocolate dial and the rhodium dial for my girlfriend but went for a two tone Daytona instead. Completely with you on the oysterflex... I have 2 gold Daytona’s and feel sorry for people who pay such price for a rubber bracelet lol all I have to do is throw a Rubber B bracelet on and I get the same looks + a whole lot of gold 😂

Get a Rolex explorer 16570 black dial, it’s a sports watch, semi ‘vintage’ holds value and grows crazy I own 3 pieces all of which I bought over the last two years. Two years ago I paid $4400 for a used full set and last week acquired my latest one for $6000.

NDA * The Green Daytona’s in the lower price ranges are not authentic reference 116508. They are regular gold Daytona’s, usually 116528 with aftermarket green dials. A new 116508 is usually $50k+

I’m debating between the 116508 Paul Newman dial vs the green, what are your thoughts? Should I wait and hope to get a call for the green dial or just go with the black? I recall the Newman dials even selling 5-10% under list not so long ago while today I’m having a hard time finding one at retail, you think they’re slept on and have potential in appreciating more than the green?
