There is just something badass about gold watches

I’m just visualizing Tim riding his bike out in the country rocking this on his wrist.

I bought the blue dial version of this 4 years ago for 20% off the MSRP of about $35K... my friend owned a dealership and he cut me a break... Fast forward, today I can see the same watch for over $40K .. I've seem them new for $55k... INSANE!

I do prefer yellow gold over rose/red gold on high-end watches, but usually accompanied by a strap to tone them down. But there’s just something about some, if not all yellow gold Rolex’s, like this, the Day-Date etc...the only yellow gold watch/bracelet brand that I actually like and wouldn’t mind wearing. Maybe because Rolex styling is generally so understated to begin with?

Word. I was wearing my YG blue Sub over the last couple of days and was thinking the same thing. The only all gold watch I really like to rock. I haven't worn my everose gold DD in a while.

Matthew M not Rolex’s version of it, Everose holds its color over time apparently. But I don’t like it anyway because it resembles copper, just like all rose golds.

Frikin awesome, perfect, doesnt get much better than this piece, you can wear it everywhere. Homerun with the 18k Gold Subnariner, complete no brainers as it holds exceptional value, looks great, perfect size!

At 3:41 you said that the caseback weighs over an ounce or 28 grams, but 28 grams is actually less than an ounce. An ounce weighs 31.103 grams in precious metals. The grams you were referring to is a different system of weights and measures.......just saying and not criticizing you ha ha love your videos

I had this 40mm for 9 years. Had 41mm for a month and chopped it in. In your hand the 41mm looks more whole and complete watch but on the wrist I hated it, very bulky looking strap with thinner lugs.

This is the Master copy/First copy Rolex Submariner Gold watch I think.

Too much gold for me. I still like it overall, but I would throw on a black Oysterflex. Good contrast for rest of watch.

1/2 a mm thinner than steel?! Why is Rolex skimping on the gold?!

White gloves would make these videos way better. Fingers are noticeably dry.

It’s safe to wear depending on how smart you are. Wearing short sleeves and wandering around London would be stupid. But if you live in a town/village and are going to a restaurant for the evening or something you’d be fine. Wearing a £30k watch or item of jewellery is marking you as a target in built up areas where thieves operate. Through history I’d guess wearing very expensive things had always come with risk.

Yeah, too bad you guys can’t get concealed carry permits for a handgun like we can here in the U.S. I wear a Tag and carry a Glock 9mm just in case. I will definitely be carrying when I get a Rolex one day.
