I am a real fan of the 16800 & 16800 series Subs! The variations in dial, indices, etc. are interesting as the model evolves into the modern Submariner. That's is quiet rate timepiece you have there!!! I passed along my 1984 16800 to my son since it is his birth year watch!

Is this a blue Dial by factory ?

V. Global yes, I Only have factory parts on all my watches advertised

The dial actually isn't blue but more a of grey black that picks up a blue hue at times. The dial orinally was a gloss black dial that "sponged" to a near matte dial.
