I just like the convenience of Quartz, and the integrated bracelet, and dimensions make me like this watch more than I probably should 😂

A surprisingly good looking watch, that tonneau shaped case makes it I think. I thought it would look dated, but it doesn’t. And one of the great Quartz movements too, as Tim mentions here. Very nice 👍

Great Watch, Oysterquartz DD/DJ are probably the most underestimated Rolex models.

You have explained so well and it was so interesting to hear the history of the movement of the Rolex Oysterquartz and the Gerald Genta case and integrated bracelet design

Is this a good investment watch in 2023? Or stick with traditional presidential?

Not a great quartz fan. But the watch looks great and the accuracy makes me envious . Given my mechanical day date gains almost 4 seconds a day.

If Rolex still made quartz watches it might be enough for me to overlook that god awful cyclops that looks like a cheap after though

Been refinished, but brushed finish goes 90 degrees the wrong way

The brushing always runs the length of the bracelet. Tim does mention refinishing.

Maybe it depends on year of manufacture. I've seen late 70's gold Oysterquartz with the brushing across the case and bracelet rather than along it.

It depends upon which model, not year. The Day Date Egyptian has vertical brushing, white or yellow gold day dates have horizontal brushing and Datejusts have circular brushing on top and vertical down bracelets.
