Love the video, thanks for going through both so well! I think the Daytona is more iconic obviously, however the Tudor has a bit more wrist presence. Either way, like you said it comes down to which one you can obtain

Thanks for the video. Just picked up the reverse panda Tudor (after quite a wait!). The Daytona is an amazing piece, but can't pass up the value and stunning looks of this Tudor. Also, seems a batch of these must have been recently released. Seeing quite a few new watch alerts around the globe showing off new Tudor chronos.

December 2022 Tudor reps contacted ADs and filled all orders. It was overwhelming how the entire line was accessible over night.

The reverse panda was readily available at my AD, just walked in and picked up one at 20% discount. Love it although I think clasp is a bit crappy.

I own a Tudor chrono and orignally went for a Black bay but was drawn to the chrono. I bought it about two years ago here in Spain and the dealer had a few in stock and judging by your video it has gone up in price. I mean to wear it more often but working from home I hardly ever wear a watch in the day. I have to confess I do have a love hate relationship with it and nearly sold it a few times, but back down each time. It does have wrist presence but in my mind not too much in your face comapred with some others on the market. Great video and of course a subscription, look forward seeing more of your videos

I just walked into the AD in Vegas and bought the reverse panda Tudor, no waiting list. They said they get about 1 reverse panda and 3 normal panda Tudor chronos each month from Tudor.

Love your comparison between the two watches. I would pick the Tudor for it's size as I have large wrist and for the lower price. Few weeks ago I’ve got a call from my AD that two Tudor chrono (black and white) have arrived in the store and asked me if I’m interested. I’m not even in the waiting list but I went to the shop to try them anyway. And they really look stunning. However, I felt that I need to start looking at video reviews first before plunging in. So I told my AD to let other customers have them and I will wait for the next arrival. Now I’ve regretted as both are sold within next few days and I just gave up this opportunity as now I strongly desire to get the white one. So I have put my name in the waiting list and have to wait now.

This was a hard watch with the unnecessary and ever changing camera angles.

I owned the Tudor in the same configuration great timepiece , love it but the Daytona is a better watch .

You are correct it is available to buy there but of course is over list price due of the waiting list as mentioned in our video. We also have the same watch for sale over list but ours is cheaper.

All depends on your situation! 😉🙌

I much prefer the tudor BB chrono panda. It's my favorite watch in my collection. Then again, I never lusted after the Daytona. I was never into the outer black chapter subdials with white for the interior. I LOVE the full black subdials on the BB chrono instead (a true panda). I also much prefer bi-compax chronographs over tri-compax. I think they're much more classy and elegant. Also love the ivory white dial on chrono BB. Don't like the glossy ceramic bezel on the Daytona either. Oh, and polished center links = 🤮. I would choose the chrono BB panda 10/10 times over the Daytona.

I got a Explorer from my AD in 2 weeks, followed by a DJ36 fluted jubilee after like 6 months. also bought two tudors along the way... after watching this video I'm almost too afraid to even ask to get on the waitlist even with my recent purchase history, yikes.

The Daytona is too small for my taste. I prefer the wrist presence and two subdials of the Tudor. Value aside I think it’s the better looking watch.

If they make Tudor thinner then I’ll consider buying

Love them both but if I had the choice I’d take the Daytona

Would throw down on that Tudor in a minute if it were thinner. Typical slab slided case from Tudor. Bummer.

The best thing about wearing a Tudor is that u have less worry about being robbed at night .

Uncomparable~!! Daytona win! From every aspects.

Without doubt that Daytona looks stunning but there are chronograph movements out there that are just as good if not superior at a fraction of the cost of the Daytona

Actually. Incorrect. The reason the Tudor looks so much bigger. The Rolex measures less than 39mm where as the Tudor is a true 41mm. Has nothing to do with anything else that you mentioned. Rolex falsely advertised Daytona size. And the Tudor Chrono is super easy to get now from any AD. That prediction didnt age well.

The Tudor looks bigger because it’s not 40mm like they say it is. It’s actually 38. I always thought it looked so small when I see them and then I measured one. It’s 38mm. Rolex is sneaky with their sizes.

Why only 45 minutes on the sub dial? I hate the 30 minutes or 45. Why not just do 60? And why not put an hour subdial? Most guys spend at least 45 minutes in the gym and perhaps people want to time things over several hours?? Right? Am I missing something with how these work or how you can track it?

Very interesting take! I think it is to do with readability, 60 minutes on the subdial would be quite small and difficult to note exact time elapsed 👍

I am bored of Rolex and their tactics, I bought a Tudor BB58 a couple of years ago and enjoy it far more than any Rolex. I disagree with the 'iconic' argument you either like the look of the watch or not and you do go of and return to watches. A Tudor will be my next purchase (Bi-metal chronograph) but if they start the same tactics as Rolex I will take my custom elsewhere, no danger there. My first Rolex was a Bi-metal in the early 90's and it was affordable for the average man, I then thought I was done when I bought an 18k day/date. I have kept it for no other reason than it is a Rolex. I dislike the watch but my stupid ego tells me to keep it as it is a sign of status and wealth. (In Liverpool though most people associate Rolex with the criminal fraternity) If I took away the names on the two brands and looked at the aesthetics, movement and price on comparative models I am sure I would choose Tudor over Rolex most of the time. Me included, but do we buy Rolex watches for the wrong reasons?

Hi Duke, Thank you for your comment. The BB58 is a nice model and great value for money. The 1980’s and 90’s day date were revered by everyone and if you had one of these you had made back then. It was owned by wealthy and famous people alike. I always remember looking at people wearing them and thinking one day ! That’s my point it’s down to affordability and availability .. everyone has their own choices. Rolex are bought for many reasons and this will never change.. they are the best known brand in the planet.

I have the Tudor. I will GIVE it to ANYBODY in a straight-up TRADE for a stainless steel Rolex Daytona with ceramic bezel in very good or better condition.

Tudor is a man’s watch, Daytona is a ladies watch.

It’s an unfortunate comparison I mean the most iconic Rolex against a Tudor average model . But if anything except Daytona it would be a great match

Alot are going to say the Black bay because they think that makes them feel more noble or different but we all know if anyone had a choice between the two. They will not be walking away with the Tudor and anyone who says differently is full of crap 😅and their is too much wrong with the BB like those horrible faux rivets and the snow flake hands that block the sub dial.

Says a Rolex owner feeling insecure I’m sure lol I own a couple Rolex’s and can say the Tudor chrono looks great and offers ridiculous value. A no brainer for anyone who’s doesn’t want to fork over the extra money for a Rolex or many other higher prices brands.
