Yeah... That doesn't make any sense that Rolex would charge more for a used watch than a new one.

I know, it just seems like Rolex is very content raking in everything they can. More of a attempt at getting that grey market money over doing right by their guests. Remember, it’s their fault the prices are what they are secondhand by limiting availability in the first place. Just seems super disingenuous. Definitely not making me love the brand anymore than I did before (which was, not at all. Lol!) Hope your having a great week Dave! 👍

@@WristwatchAddiction I hate to say it, but from a business standpoint Rolex probably should increase their retail prices. That or do what everyone wants them to do and increase supply.

Agreed. On both counts

Rolex Certified is the best thing since slice bread. You sleep well knowing that you don't have to worry about fakes or modified watches with non approved parts, when you make a purchase. It's extra money well spent.

What makes you think some people care about the price? They want a watch when they want it, which usually means right now. They don’t care about all these details and they don’t want to be on a waiting list. Personally, I think Rolex is offering a decent deal. You get a guarantee from them and you don’t have to worry about some gray market bottom feeder.

Many people don’t care about price and many are just going to be happy they are able to get a Rolex from an AD that day.That is absolutely correct. Having said that, the reason I feel like this will rub many other people the wrong way is because I hear it daily is an AD For competing swiss brands. People come in who are on waiting lists or have been turned off by the markups & they buy my stuff instead. They either get the Rolex stuff or they don’t wanna pay the second hand Rolex prices or are adamant they only want a new piece. That’s why I said I’m undecided on how I feel about the program overall. I think there are two distinct types of people, one will be very happy & one will not be and I don’t know if that ultimately will benefit Rolex or be an issue for Rolex. I guess only time will tell. One thing I’m sure of, I’m glad they at least did some thing. 👍

The CPO seems to be overpriced just the same as the grey market. When you take a step back and realize Rolex makes over 1M watches each and every year! Exclusivity is genrated solely by Rolex to drive prices up. it’s their business practice to work with grey market dealers and to not sell from the AD, certain models. Bottom line this a machine build watch that is barely decorated and with a closed case back. Exception of two models. Mid tier watch thinking their brand is as valuable patek or VC without the craftsmanship and low production quantities. I was done with Rolex in 2020…..
