Let me get this straight... You think that it's really cool that the Rolex, the one priced completely out of this world, DOESN'T have a quick date adjust? That's absurd. I have a Pagani Sub and I can tell you that I feel far more elated that I have something that is comparable to a Rolex without being foolish enough to spend stupid amounts of money to get it than I would if I actually had a Submarminer.

Rolex at retail is the best, but.....at MV then Pagani is better value to me. 15k saving is a lot of money to play with

I agree the Rolex GMT is better than the Pagani GMT. In fact, it might even be 10 times better, so I would (possibly) be willing to pay 10 times the price, but even that seems overpriced.

Nice review. Totally agree with you, these homage are a great way to see if you like the look and feel of the real model, perfect to help decision making, much more than just trying it on in a AD. On the rolex, I am quite surprised with the relatively low amplitude and the 1ms bit error for such a scrutinized movement...

You are right, the amplitude is quiet low for a Rolex movement 🤔. As long as it keeps accurate timing I don't mind, I'll bring it back to them just before the 5th anniversary of the purchase so they can overhaul it for free under warranty 😁

Agreed but then I realized my taste changed, finding myself wanting to buy more different homages to try out but then its gonna add up to more than buying the real deal, plus no AD would probably call me back. I only put my name down for datejust cause other ones I guarantee they wont even bother

Could you elaborate a little more on the bezel movement? It sounds decent enough, buy how is the backplay, clicks, etc. I'm considering getting one, but the bezel action is a deal breaker; it has to be tolerable. Reason being, my Parnis GMT Master from a couple years ago was an absolute disaster. Its bezel had serious backplay paired with a nearly non-existent click (reminiscent of a friction bezel). In the few times I wore it, which was under a sleeve, I found that the bezel was in a different position each time I checked the time, due to light contact with the sleeve above it - that's how poor it was. Anyway, thanks in advance!

The bezel is 60 clicks unidirectional. As you heard the clicks are very crisp and satisfying. There's a bit of backplay but nothing too bad, and there's not a lot of side play which is wonderful. I hope this was helpful!

I have a pagani design and as you see, even in this video, the gmt hand is a pain in the ass to set because once you lock on to the time you want, it jumps a tiny bit, but tiny bit on a gmt hand is big. I have OCD on watches, so that bothers me

The non quickest date on the Rolex is a deal breaker. Apart from the fact that it's waaaaayyyy overpriced for what one gets.

So buy both, and wear the Pagani when you travel to not so safe places.

So with the rolex, say for example it's the 1st but the date is the 15th. You telling me you have to turn the hour hand 30 times to set the date? That's pretty shitty for such an expensive watch if that's true.

The trade off is you can have each hour hand show 2 separate time zones. The PD can't do that

It's really a toss up. Mine is still working and quiet accurately like shown in the video. The watch itself is pretty well built but for the buckle which might break sooner than later, but is easily replaceable

why don't you regulate the Pagani yourself ?

You obviously haven't owned nor worn a Rolex before. I own both and the Pagani is leagues below. It's a great bang for your buck, but nowhere close to near the quality of Rolex.

Pagani totally screwed me. I had problems with the bezel, misaligned and wobbly, also the numbers were pink on my Root Beer GMT. They wanted me to pay to exchange or return. Dozens of messages got me nowhere. Even Ali Express did nothing to fix the problem. China is still problematic. Don't do it.
