I did some work in this man's house, he is genuinely a nice man and so is his wife. I helped restore his staircase and I could hear him often around the house whistling like different types of birds.

I would love to know his wife to let her know, her and Rodger helped save my life! In 1983 I was given 2 months to live, his Music helped save my life, when he sang about the mountains, I would see myself climbing them, when he sang about the ocean, I would see myself out in the ocean trying to row back to shore! It saved my life! People need to know Right Music saves lives,❤ WRONG music can kill quicker!

My mom used to play Roger Whitaker all the time when I was a kid. She loved his music. I am sitting by her bedside in the hospital right now, and we are getting near the time to tell her goodbye. What a wonderful thing KZread is, as I have a playlist playing of his works for her. His songs are so perfect for right now, and Durham Town and Last Farewell are so fitting. Momma, I love you. And will see you again down the road.

I saw him at Buxton Civic Centre in 1972. He was really showboating with the whistling but sadly, during one song, his lower lip burst. Despite this, he finished the song with blood pouring down his face and saturating his shirt. A 5 minute break whilst he was bandaged up then he was back on stage. True pro.
