Freddie always had an extra special relationship with Roger. They shared much of the same humor, and if I’m not mistaken it was Roger’s idea to be in drag for I Want To Break Free

Why is it that QUEEN was and still is one of the best bands on the face of the Earth but they never won a Grammy award world?? They wrote and performed a song in 1972 that was barely known until they became popular and then Metallica comes along 20 years later and gets permission to remake that song and the damn song goes to number one and gets a Grammy. WTH?? Queen is one of those bands and probably the only one that was far ahead of their time because they were just pure genius and they kept Reinventing themselves and doing multiple genres of music. They had four writers with four different styles and that equals genius

RIIIGGGHHT!!!! Queen puts on some good shows now with Adam Lambert and whoever they have playing bass but they are still not Queen.. it's the magic that's missing because the four original musicians aren't all together and they made Magic!! I think it's great that Brian and Rodger are having a good old time and out touring with Adam Lambert making some money, etc.. but these guys are in their seventies and they're not going to be able to do it forever so let them have their fun. Adam Lambert will be a nobody once the two remaining members of Queen decide they no longer want to tour

Yeap the second I heard THAT statement I rolled my eyes (no joke). BAD interviewer host...seriously id rather see DEDICATED TRUE fans especially the core fans and/or new generation - sit down with Roger and Brian and conduct an intrerview from the point of true admiration and curiosity...... FREDDIE was one of a kind....everything Freddie did was unique and singular. Adam pulls his weight well enough and best of luck to him too.... Perhaps the ONLY other vocalist that might've gotten close to Freddie's ability would have been George Michael... I saw Queen at 'The Glasshouse in Melbourne' in 1984 and it was INCREDIBLE.

I don't think Freddy and Co. wrote "weird" songs at all, they just wrote interesting songs , modern symphonies in the shape , size & color of rock music, pop, ballads , blues, jazzy flavors, epic prog rock and so many other musical genres. They created a bunch of modern music sculptures of the 20th century. It might sound arrogant for some people but when someone criticizes their art as "weird songs" , It just describes how poorly educated & inexperienced their minds are ,also the size of the pop cultural box they are living in. But there's still hope , they got lucky to be exposed to the sounds and messages of Queen in their lifetime, they have been given the opportunity to grow, develop and nurture their intellect and humanity , they have been blessed with the art of Queen...

How did he lose his Falsetto... was it because of Smoking? but why didn't it affect Freddie then... Roger even said ''I think my Voice is only getting Worse and Freddie's is getting better'' Someone explain Please.

I read just yesterday that he started to lose his upper range of hearing. Freddie also had mutant vocal chords. They had an extra flap. Plus the "sheer" work out Freddie got from singing would have been superior to Roger's. Freddie was a machine. (Edit) I had to make sure if I remembered the story. Freddie didnt have extra flap. Bit they vibrated faster than other peoples. The ventricular folds vibrated at the same time as the vocal folds causing subharmonics. It's also funny you brought up Roger's smoking making him lose his voice. Freddie attributed his chain smoking of menthol cigs to helping his voice. Friggan legend

@@clubba1264 Roger did all those falsettos in his 20's and 30's. He still managed them into his early 40's up to the Innuendo alum in 1991. Roger had a great high voice but the main reason he doesn't do it now is simply age. He still hits high notes in softer harmonies for texture but it is obvious his very high blasting range is gone, like on Liar, Father To Son and so many others.

Bb5 is a chord, not a note. He said he hit a F note. In a Bb5 the F is the 5th of the chord. If that is the right chord (I have no idea) the F would have sounded perfect.

@@andreasgoebel2666Bb5 is a chord but not very commonly seen in notation but it is very commonly heard. It's typically found in pop/rock music where the 3rd is omitted, leaving only the root note and 5th. Hence the "5". However in this case It's quite obvious that we're talking in reference to vocal range and Bb5 makes reference to the 5 as 5 octaves. I think the person has just misunderstood and confused the two things.
