The numbers will say that Djokovic is the goat but he will never have the magical shots that made Federer a genius.

We are witnessing this era in atp, we grew up watching the big 3 players and every of us have emotional approach toward their personality, type of game etc..we all have our favourite player..But when they gone from atp as a players and new generation come, someone who do not know nothing special about them, everybody will looking just a numbers..Numbers are science, it is not a emotional question..For me, Sampras is a great player, but I never watch him or grew up watching him..I just look at numbers in his case..The same will be fo the big 3 in 5 years from now and in the future..

I will always maintain that depende how deep you see the numbers, you know you had to be able to interpreted as well, if you dig deep, the federe style is more effective, efficient and superior, put in aside their characters the federism if you will for me is the best play style, emotionally and rationally.

Only Federer can be this creative genius that is missing in today's players including the Djoker!

He had to change it from defensive to offensive. Had he not he wouldn’t have been as successful near the tail end of his career. His h2h with nadal favored him once this happened.

Roger's weakest weapon is the game's best backhand... Scary and beautiful at the same time.

One advantage of single-handed backhand is greater reach. I was never able to ditch the single-handed backhand because of that.

That 3rd passing shot against Lopez is completely insane. How he managed to get the racket around the ball spinning away and get enough lift over the high part of the net is beyond scary

I so wish had hadn't kept running around his backhand after his surgery. He might still be playing. What an amazing shot.

Great point at the end against Gonzalez, bcs with that point Federer's peak ended..After this point, his form started to go down and never again he played at that level..

That backhand into the corner at 1:46 into the clip is possibly the greatest backhand I have ever seen. Especially if you see that rally in its entirety…

Only 23 ? You could/should have put 23min of them (none one from Wimby due to copyrights I guess...)😅

Stan has a better one hander. Roger has very quick hands and the way he can catch the ball on the rise is 2nd to none.

🤣He probably could have done the whole video with just BHs from the 2006 ATP Final against James Blake. 🤭 James Blake probably still has nightmares of watching BHs go by him.

You’re talking about the Federer neo backhand right? It was out of this world.

Right, when his offensive neo backhand finally blossomed from 2017, it tipped from a slight weakness, to a more frequent winner & point-dictating shot especially vs. Nadal!

Perhaps if you interview his school teachers they may tell you Federer had a very good grasp of geometry. Because his shots are all about exploiting court geometry. That shot against Djoker at 1:44 was saying, I can draw a line across from the baseline to the opposite corner and make the ball bounce right at the tip of the corner.
