I'm glad I managed to get all the EVA-02 parts for MSRP. But as this will be my first ever build, did some PC building research and saw some things about 4090 connectors melting. That honestly has me a bit spooked.

The Seasonic based cables are completely fine from what I understand. And these Thor PSUs are still Seasonic on the inside iirc. Just be careful with adapters and 3rd party cables.

I built the MSI EVA-01 PC as it was much cheaper than the ROG EVA-01 build. I did splurge though and get the ROG EVA-01 RTX 3080, the ROG EVA-01 Monitor and ROG EVA-01 Scope Keyboard. I was hoping MSI would release a more mid-range EVA-02 product line to go with their EVA-01 line as my wife likes the red colour of Unit 02 better than the purple colour of Unit 01. I would have built her a Unit-02 themed PC to go with mine but the price on the ROG EVA-02 stuff is just insane! The RTX 4090 alone costs as much as my entire EVA-01 PC!

One day I will either get a themed anime high end build or an all white high end asus build. Currently I have an all white high end with the gigabyte aero oc 4090/ 7800x3d/ 64 gigs of ddr5 ram in the white phanteks nv7 case. The pc is a beast and I make sure to keep it clean.

This pc would be my dream build, Damn it looks so amazing, I must have it 🥰

I've been a huge EVA fan ever since it first aired. This would have been the absolute crown jewel of all my possessions... if I could afford it... That said, as an Eva 02 themed build, it feels like a missed opportunity to not use Team Red for the components. Though I suppose it wouldn't have been as overkill.

If they ever decide to make a Misato one it’ll be over for me.

I want an Eva 03.... piloted briefly by Toji.

Back in about 2001 or was it early 2002, a colleague of mine gave me VideoCDs with the series. He was in love with it. I watched a few episodes, I remember nothing about it. I wasn't that impressed, even though I don't remember why. Perhaps I would like it more today. I am not against animated features/series, it just didn't do it for me for some reason. I loved and still do, Robotech, Ulysses 31, remain my favorites. After all this pointless intro, I really like how this build looks, mostly for the colors. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say not to a free one, but if I had the money to buy a system I wouldn't buy these components strictly because of the power consumption. It doesn't take away from how good this system is and I have to applaud ASUS for making such builds. We need more companies releasing more interesting to look at systems. Looks wise, the only change I would make is replace all of the black color in the system with say dark orange, grey, or perhaps a shade of white. Price wise,yeah no comment on that, but if you are into such a system you are probably ready to pay the price. The motherboard is among the most expensive I have seen, at least not included some ridiculous ones I encountered 15-20 years ago with jewels and gold on them. Having said that, if you are ready to pay over 5000 euros for this tier of components, why not go a bit higher and get this EVA-02 Edition over the "vanilla" one. Thank you for another cool video. I know evangelion, but not crazy enough to buy this case. I would prefer a Battlestar Galatica (the 1978 one) chrome case with a redeye scanner at the front top.

Does anyone know if the motherboards are going to restock anywhere any time soon? I have the whole set, and I do not want to pay ebay scalper prices.

It is almost impossible to buy it in Turkey, you have to work for 6-7 months to get the RTX 4090 graphics card there.

A part of me wants it but I will likely pass. Gundam PCs also and Sonic ones are tempting. Red Asuka color scheme is nice.

Thanks for the video, About pricing, well i blieve its for someone who dont have money issue and since 4090 perform similar(95%) with different brands, paying money for eva edition is paying for beauty rather than performance. Personaly I like limited edition things and with these arts they are cool but unfortunatly it nearly cost double normal 4090 build. overall i think its overpriced

I'm kinda conflicted. ASUS Eva build looks straight out of custom mod scene and it feels kinda icky to buy custom modded thing. On the other hand the whole set's beautiful.

I liked the EVA-01 build more. This being Asuka red, I almost rather see it be an AMD build, but ASUS probably didn’t release AMD motherboard or GPUs in this line.

This is an intriguing theme build. I would have probably opted for plain black memory modules since there wasn't a matching theme set.

The overall look is decent, innovative, and creative. Given this is based off of something that died over a decade ago the extremely high cost is not justified. This case is close to 1,000 USD alone or 900 plus tax easily 950 USD, and the MB, no longer on Amazon but is on eBay for over 1,500 USD makes this build only possible for those with more money then brain cells. Every thing about this build is simply exuberant to say the least. The almost 600 USD dropped on the CPU makes the CPU almost the cheapest item on the list. If I would do this build it would be cheaper to buy all the necessary tools and other supplies to make something, not only unique, but for a more reasonable price. Maybe if I had the criminal bill gates money I would worry about spending 50,000 USD for this rig but I live in the real world and this rig is out of my price range, damn near EVER single part. This case is not worth 1,000 USD, no PC Case is or will EVER BE worth 1,000 USD. Not bashing the video content or the creator but just saying it must be nice to have more money then brain cells; if that's you, well done...

People are a bit scared of GPUs with AIO but considering how big they became, maybe that is something you should consider. My 4090 is a lot smaller than my previous 3090 since it has 360mm radiator attached to it.
