José Martínez He was the only one who was suitable for the job literally. Look at the audition, all the others contestants didn't fit with the band at all. It would look so weird if either of them were to be selected. I'm glad Trujilo came to that audition.

@@gorgewashington1216 Incorrect. A snare drum will have spring tensioners on the bottom of it but it's called a snare DRUM not a snare SPRINGS. She's thumping the guitar body which in the wood itself resonates & produces the sound. The strings have nothing to do with it beyond being attached to the guitar at that point.

I did NOT expect them to tear into my favorite, fast part of Frayed Ends. This is addictive, inspiring, and the way the aggressive Metallica vibe is completely captured by these three instrumentalists, without much distortion, no drums, no vocals, is simply awe-inspiring. Respect.

I was actually at this show, 25 rows up, left of the sound board. This was an amazing end to and incredible show, Rodrigo y Gabriela are such showmen, they put on a great concert! Trujillo just capped it off!

Gabriella's strumming or tapping on the guitar as if it was a percussion, is just amazing!!!.

I saw then do this with Trujillo in Napa, CA, a few years back... absolutely incredible. I was LEGIT headbanging to two acoustic guitars and direct bass. Rocked just as hard the real, fully amplified Metallica. I'll never forget it!

Gabriela stuns as usual but I'm impressed with how well she and Rodrigo held frayed ends of sanity together as tight as they did throughout.

That was pretty sick. It's nice to actually hear a bass player from Metallica for a change. Lol

Wow. 3 of the best musicians out there. So great to see how much they enjoyed that! Smiles all round. Big 'tallica fan and Rodrigo y Gabriela! Made my night watching that.

I don’t know how I’m hearing this for the first time in 2022 but holy fuck this was so awesome and unique hearing those songs played in this style. And the girl wow, I bet no one ever messes with her. she could slap upside your head 5 times before you could blink like I’m watching and I can’t understand psychically how she’s doing it haha

And they played tunes from the only Metallica era that matters. Perfect.

John Thompson He is awesome too. He is the one that made the original basslines for The Four Horsemen, Motorbreath, Jump In The Fire, Whiplash, Phantom lord, No Remorse, Seek and Destroy, and Metal Militia that Cliff Burton would use on Kill ‘Em All.

😂they all had a laugh at 5:32 when rob came in a tad early. You can tell they all had a blast and a great time playing together. highly enjoyed this vid. Wish to hear more from all 3 together

Love to hear a little "Creeping Death" next time around, very cool expanding this into what Metallic did on the black tour, love you two!

Red Rocks is better than any small theater unless you are at the very top where the wind can effect the sound. I usually get front row if I can get tickets since they are reserved for people with physical disabilities. Nothing better than seeing a great band front row at Red Rocks. Even if you're in the first 30 rows it's still an excellent venue.
