W.C. Handy.....never disappoints...

Got to love it. Got the low moanin 3rd position chrome then low end wailin with 2nd position G diatonic, finishing up with 3rd position C diatonic with some soulful hi end licks. My word what a performance.

Now and again I read comments - on KZread and elsewhere - that ascertain that Rod is 'mediocre' or not up to the standard of other players. I say: he's GREAT. And the music of Rod and the various incarnations of The Mighty Flyers has given me enormous pleasure during the last twenty-five years or so - more, counting Bacon Fat in the early 1970s. It's good to hear a horn section with the band! A friend of mine was at this show; I envy him... Many thanks to bluesdrchris for this.

@guitarandharp Nope Piazza is exceptional and has been since his take on Juicy Harmonica with the Fat - She's The One with Dirty Blues was 44 years ago this year. A personality player as well as technical whiz.. always and early with the sweet amp and mic tones. Distinctive too like Oscher, Sugar Ray, DIck, Blind Owl, and that kind man Wm Clarke. Piazza totally kills w Shakey Jake, Smokey Wilson, Jimmy Rogers on LP - and here Id say he stands apart from the above.
