The entire reason I searched this video is to find out how to take the plastic end piece off the strap to get it through the hole and gunnel and you totally skipped over it.

It slides out out but it’s a tight squeeze. You kinda just have to man handle it

@@JenkinsBassFishing I've tried to do it in my Ranger boat. However, there is no enough place under de gunnel, it seems to be filled with epoxy or something similar... Do you know if there are somebody with a Ranger boat running this concealment kit ? Thank you very much in advance.

Personally, I don’t know anybody in a ranger running this but I haven’t searched around very hard. Some people also install the kit into the floor/deck in their boat if they can’t get access to their gunnel.

I have a 20 XD Bullet bass boat and bought the concealment kit. Problem is you can not get to the back side to insert the strap. Only way I found I could use it is to mount to the deck. Not happening so it was a waste of money for me.

I noticed that you installed the catch over the rod locker instead of directly to the deck. Did you have to use nuts to attach to this location?

I was able to get away with just stainless steel screws. They were short enough that when you opened the lid, they would not cut you on the inside. I also predrilled all the holes as a precaution. Bolts would be more secure, but I’ve had zero issues with screws thus far.
