Joe Walsh was (and has been) an accomplished artist. When he see him singing and playing wih The Eagles it is obvious he could lead a show on his own, he joined the Eagles probably because he did not want to play alone, to perform alone.... but he could have done it any time. He was already a complete artist when he joined the Eagles... and he became a great Eagle. Love your music, Joe Walsh. :)

Lisa. You guessed it but it even goes deeper than that. In the 1970's, I was picked by satanists. They believed that I am Jesus. They went around telling women and everyone that I caused the curse on man and woman because I got jealous of seeing them together. THAT was a huge lie! I stayed alive! I SURVIVED ALL OF THEIR SH!T so that I could one day tell the truth about it. I would NEVER curse what I love, and I loved having girlfriends! The satanists lied. When I heard the part in this song, "Bases are loaded and CARTER'S AT BAT. IT'S TIME TO CHANGE THE BATTER, I got really PISSED off! Jimmy Carter was an awesome human being. He even called me! The PRESIDENT called me. He got me into a program called HAMMOND CETA here in Hammond, Indiana. I had gotten my girlfriend TINA ROSS pregnant and I didn't want her to get an abortion. She told me that if I didn't marry her, that she would get one so I married her. SHE believed that I'm Jesus too. Even after we had sex, she just thought that. Everyone who touched me back then thought that, but I never claimed to be him. I'm linked to it, but I did NOT cause the curse. I did witness it. In 2019 I was in a coma in St. Franciscan's Hospital in Hammond, Indiana.(Yep I am telling you this personal information). I went into Paradise, and I seen what really did happen. I seen the man and woman being cursed, but I was yelling for them to stop! I seen myself! That sounds crazy, but check it out! I'm NOT lying. I'm NOT crazy! I'm 61 years old, and I fought to hang on because I do not want women to think that I did that! I DID NOT! That's how important it was for me to make it back into my body! IT WAS ALL A LIE! i If I didn't care, I would've given up the ghost and stayed on the other side, but I REFUSE TO EAT A LIE LIKE THAT! I WOULD NEVER DO SUCH A HORRIBLE THING TO ANYONE! Satanists LIED about me!
@guitarttimman

I'm sorry, but those people really and truly did believe that I'm Jesus Christ! It's a part of my life that I'll never forget. I still remember way back before all of the really crazy stuff started. I went to Woodmar Shopping mall which was also in Hammond, Indiana. I went into the restaurant, and there was an elderly Italian woman sitting in there. She looked at me and she said, "Do you think I'm funny looking." I actually started crying. I said, "no way I do not think that Lady." Like that! But, very quickly, she got up and left. Around a week later, I went to the Hammond Clinic with my late mother. Across from there, there was a restaurant. AMANDA'S. I went into the restaurant, but as soon as I entered, she ran up to me and she actually said, "NO JESUS! YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN MY EDIFICE!" Like that! I was only 11 years old. I jumped back and I replied, "My name isn't Jesus. It's Tim." She YELLED! "GET OUT OF HERE!" Like that. Okay, let's do some evaluating, and JP really agreed too. Those crazy people are going to PICK ME, call me JESUS, HOOK ME ON DRUGS, AND TRY TO TURN ME INTO A HOMOSEXUAL SO THAT THEY CAN MURDER ME AND YELL, "BEHOLD GOD! YOUR SON! YOUR SON! YOUR SON!" A former girlfriend of mine told me about that one! She said don't ever turn gay. She said, yeah I know you're not gay but don't ever let them trick you Tim. Like that! Her name, amazingly, her name was MARY. I have a lot of incidences. I once had a friend, Sharon Kaler. Her family were fortune tellers and they made big money too. We were just teens. She asked me if she could tell my fortune. Jokingly, I said, yeah okay but it's not real. She said, "IT IS REAL!" Like that. She took out a especially designed deck of Tarot Cards and she started slowly turning them over. One by one, and I noticed that the color was leaving her face. She was turning WHITE and I DO MEAN WHITE LIKE A GHOST! I said, "what's wrong! WHAT IS WRONG!" Like that! She feel to my feet and was crying. She said, "You're JESUS!" I said, "Stand up! No I AM NOT! Stand up Sharon!" Like that! She stood up and she told me that she loves me. I said, "cool beans babe I love you too like that, and I gave her a kiss." She fainted. I picked her up and laid her on the couch. Right then her parents walked in. Her mother walked over to the cards, she looked at them, and she quickly said, "WE HAVE TO MOVE NOW! WE ARE IN DANGER!" They moved, and I never seen them again! It did happen right over on Hickory Street in Hammond, Indiana. ALL TRUE LISA!

When my time is up, I'll give up the ghost, but I REFUSE TO TAKE THE RAP FOR SOMETHING THAT I ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCALLY DID NOT DO! NO! I DID NOT CURSE MAN AND WOMAN! NO! @acday4679 Things would be crazy if he was dismissed instead of Don Felder. I know he replaced Bernie Leadon, but I always what would have happened if the roles switched with him joining the Eagles before Felder. Would that make a difference?
Walsh and Felder made the Eagles such a harder edge band and they had it all. Songs, musicianship, harmonies .
Man made music with Man made sound effects, music since these days cannot compare.
So far this is the best version I’ve heard LIVE of this song. It does it Justice!

Best fkng version yet
We will not have this again in our land. That beauty. The best of the best...
Not many guys could upstage one of the hottest bands of the 70s. Joe's the Man!
serious talent. raw musicianship.
Joe Walsh is the BOMB!!!! Love him!!!!!
The sheer masterpiece of this song is timeless. Joe was great great.

Is Joe Walsh the Forrest Gump of rock? Think of any historical band/event, and this man has managed to find his way into the story! This is a superb recording, and a gold standard of how a slide and talk box can be maximized. How is he not near the top of everyones list of greatest rock guitarist?

NO!
