Rocky escape: Police scale up warnings to stay safe

Police are urging our local fishing enthusiasts to please stay safe while dropping a line 🎣
In the early hours of Friday 16 February, Police received a report of a person a person stuck on rocks at Bethells Beach, just before 2am.
The Police Eagle helicopter was deployed and observed the fisherman, who was unable to get back to land with the incoming tide.
The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was contacted, along with Police Search and Rescue, and the man was picked up safe and well.

    Spot on. If i want to endanger my life, then thats my business. If authority wants to save peoples lives , Lets start in NZ hospitals ,where over 3000 deaths are caused through medical negligence each year . And more than 1500 disabled !
