in dance practice videos, Wonwoo said that it's kinda disappoiting that they had to film this in a rush and the details were a bit lacking, and you can see that Hoshi had made a little mistake here but they didn't even have time to film it again (base on Jun's clothes, it might be filmed right before he went to the airport to go back to China). However, Wonwoo also said that the important thing is they could film this all 13 together, which was great bc i remembered before with 24h they also waited for Seungkwan to recover from his injury to film the dance practice video, that proves Seventeen's bond.

I honestly didn't even notice any mistakes! I think it helps that the overall vibe is them having fun, so a little wobble or something blends in a lot easier. That must be so tough managing everyone's schedules.

honestly, thank you so much for the little video at the beginning, thank you for speaking your mind and also making this a safe and welcoming environment. i am so so sorry you had to go through that. this comeback has been a confusing time for me (i know its not a reaction to super but since it is the first video that i watched that someone bought it up i feel like it fits in a way). super is INSANE and a lot of them are SO attractive in that, is a completely new thing that they are doing and it WORKS insanely good and im going so ferrel over it that i want to feed myself with every entertainment about it. however... i am so deeply sad about moonbin. i honestly cannot wrap my head around it, its just hard to believe somehow. and my way of coping is talking about it with people, seeing others go though the same feelings as me. so, i was looking for news of it online but all i was seeing was the comeback...... that i didn't want to go pass it cause i loved the song and also wanted to see what people thought. so i don't know, these pass few days has been the definition of bittersweet. one second i'm exploding out of happiness from the reaction to svt, being hyped over the song, being over the moon with the achievements and records and all of that, and then a second later i'm brought back to reality and starts mourning over a loss i never thought would happen. and the craziest thing of all this is that they're not two completely separate things since our dearly seungkwan is having a banger comeback but lost his best friend... and i'm here happy to see him nail the choreo but also sad to see him cause i know he's hurt. one side of me doesnt want to see any svt stuff cause makes me sad because they were friends, but svt is not only my main source of entertainment but my distraction from all of this... idk what to feel, is just two intense feelings that are the complete opposite from one another. idk, its just confusing. post video note: i loved the analysis you were so into it that you brought me in. cannot wait to super :)

Julia. Thank you so much for your comment and sharing how you've been feeling. I think in a lot of ways this week is a little sliver, a microcosm, of life as a whole. We can be experiencing such deep losses, migrating through our grief, while at the same time experiencing such huge and unexpected wins. The timing of the comeback and the death are such a blow for Seventeen and fans, but life is also all about timing. If you wait for the right time to do something you might never do it. I think times like these can help us appreciate that life truly goes on. The world doesn't stop, even when our inner personal world can feel like it's crumbling. (That statement of course isn't meant to disregard the fact that people need time off to mourn, and make sure they are okay before returning to their normal activities) I'm going to share a little more of my story if that's okay, because it's just now hit me while writing you this comment. I'm going to refer to my friends as D and C. When D died, C took me and our friends to Disney Springs the next day. It had been preplanned, and they knew I needed to get out of the house and not be alone. We spent the day exploring and enjoying each others company. I cried while we were there, but I also laughed or got excited seeing Disney merch. I got one of my favorite hats on that trip that day, and I still wear it often. C's funeral was almost a year later. The next day I was a bridesmaid in another friends wedding. The bride was incredible, and told me I didn't have to attend the wedding if I couldn't emotionally handle it. All C had ever wanted was to get married, and knowing that gave me the strength to attend the wedding and enjoy that moment. The funeral was on a Saturday, and on Sunday I was dancing, crying, and laughing while celebrating a new beginning. I think your experience, and I'm sure many people feel the same way, of not knowing how to be excited for the comeback, and also mourning, is completely valid. It feels wrong sometimes to cheer and be happy after someone has died. It's okay to feel that way. And it's okay to cheer anyway. In my opinion at least. Everyone handles life differently. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it, as long as you are being true and honest with yourself, and trying your best to not hurt you or anyone else in the process.

I feel the same way. SVT is my safe space, their music gives me comfort and consols me, but at the same time it hurts to see them too. It is a complex feeling, but it helps to talk about it and see, that you are not alone with your feelings.

I think your words described the way a lot of us have been feeling at this comeback. I've definitely decided that I have to feel both things and acknowledge that it's ok for me to feel happy and excited and impressed and laugh and enjoy things and then also feel the waves of sadness that come at the other times. It's normal, it's ok to have both feelings. I'm glad that you are sharing and that you've been able to find your moments of enjoyment in this comeback in spite of everything. I'm a Seungkwan bias so you know I'm thinking a lot about him all the time these days, but I also remind myself about all the hard work he put into this comeback before this happened and how much we can support him by enjoying his hard work as well. It's a complicated human experience we're sharing, right??? Lots of love to you. I've been feeling a lot again this week as they begin to promote the other title track.

Thank you for the beginning portion of the video. I've been having a difficult time these last couple of days, even more so considering that the news hit just hours before my birthday. One second I was waiting for the clock to hit 12, and the next I was just wanting to disappear. The next day I felt so tired, so sad and exasperated and it was my birthday. And I felt guilty for feeling like that, because if I was feeling like that, I couldn't imagine what his sister Moon Sua and his parents and his friends SinB and even Seungkhwan were feeling. And then it calmed down. I distracted myself with work and I let myself grieve for the time I had. After watching the comeback i felt really bittersweet. The members would always remember this time as a time when they break an astronomical amount of records, but also when they lost someone close to them. I'm good now. I've coped with it, cried and got it out of my system tho I still miss him. Thank you for being a support system, and to all those dealing with our angels passing, please know that AROHA's are always going to be there for you. Rest in peace Moonbin You did amazing

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can relate more than you know. I spent my 16th birthday at my Grandfather's funeral. Life and death are so intertwined, it almost feels inevitable that at some point they will overlap. I'm so so sorry it happened to you in this way. You have a very big heart to think of his family and friends, but you're allowed to feel grief and not feel guilty. Your grief is just as real as theirs. I'm glad you are doing better now, even though some days may still be hard. I hope next year you are able to celebrate your special day with smiles and laughter and joy while surrounded by your own friends and family.

In regards to your message at the beginning, you are lovely and beautiful. I feel compelled to share something in return so if you're unable to read anything sad, skip to the next paragraph. The first time I lost a friend I was barely 19. I walked out of mandatory group therapy (after being in the hospital for exactly what one goes to the hospital and then mandatory therapy for) and got the news about my friend. I immediately turned around and walked right back in. To say that experience was rough is an understatement. I'm not a stranger to loss and trauma. It never hurts less than that first time. And those of us with struggles of our own... we feel the weight of it all. What changes, in my experience, is coping mechanisms. At 19, I was also struggling with an abusive relationship so I fell hard into drinking away my feelings. At 25, when i lost another friend, I feel hard into mothering those around me. If I could fix them, I didn't have to fix myself. Now that I'm in my 30's, I give myself moments to be sad, and then I pick myself up and I do something. Watch reaction videos for a sense of community, spam friends with reels on IG, study Korean, do homework, sew something (I actually just bought fabric to make my dad a shirt). And these all seem random. But they're all things that propel me forward. Because as much as it feels like it did, the world did not stop spinning. Tomorrow is going to be here faster than I realize. And I need to make sure that I reach my goals because each person that I carry as a memory in my heart would want me to live. So I appreciate you and I hope you are caring for yourself as wonderfully as you are caring for others. As for the analysis, I love your breakdown of the dance. As a fellow Spoonie dancer (and ex theatre kid) your perspective is refreshingly familiar. I could talk about dance and storytelling all day. If anyone is going to be the catalyst to make my own channel, it's gonna be you. Whatever is comfortable for you, in terms of how to relate what you're referring to, is great. And I definitely agree that section felt like line dance. I think it's because they're not just doing a rond de jambe... but they're kind of... punchy with it. And paired the kicking before hand, it feels very.... cowboy. Said as someone who has gone line dancing. Haha! I always love your feedback though. Keep rocking! Pun intended.

  • @SashaMarie

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I understand this so well. While we may continue to experience losses in our lives, the major difference is our past experience and coping skills. You're absolutely right! Each loss hurts just as much as the first, but we learn and grow and develop ways to grieve. I learned so much through my friends' deaths as well as through my diagnosis. Every day I wake up and am slightly surprised and excited to still be here. I just want to do my best each day, and spread laughter to others. I'm so glad to have found a fellow spoonie dancer, and maybe one day fellow KZreadr! haha I made my channel almost a full 6 months before I got up the courage to post my first video - and initially this channel was supposed to be all about books. Imagine my surprise a few years later when my main focus is Kpop, with a few book videos sprinkled in. I definitely agree that section has a cowboy feel to it. I've gone line dancing twice and I was immediately reminded of it, so I'm glad you can also relate! Thanks so much for your comment and many talking points. ^_^ If you ever want to talk more about starting a channel or dancing my IG dm's are open (no pressure!!!).

41:00 there is something like that in the hit choreo too (I don't know if there is in others because I don't have a great memory or understanding of dancing). If you want to check it out, there is the choreo video and the mama performance, that also is an additional peace of svt history (kind of) beacuse they had to perform right after not winning the performance of the year award when it clearly was, and people (me) are pissed about it (aside the jokes, they were clearly not happy with it and you can hear it in hoshi's voice, that performance is often refered when people want to describe hoshi as the energy and leader of the choreo AND when they wnt to talk about how scary he can get when serious) (btw I love parts like those, also things like at the end when they kind of "scream/cheer" all together) P.S. the blonde memeber that at one point you went "is it the angel one? jeonghan?", yes it was :)

OK So another awesome reaction! I loooove listening to your comments on their dancing - it's really fun to watch reactions from various people because even dancers react and notice different elements of the choreo. I always felt like Rock With You choreo reminds me of flying and never really heard anyone talk about that before either :D Seventeen do sometimes have those party moments in their choreo, but I agree it's a little interesting to see them when they come out because a lot of the time their choreo has so many subtleties it feels very directed and then a moment that feels really free comes out and it's refreshing! Seventeen definitely knows how to have fun on stage and with their audiences, for sure

I'm super duper late, but I just wanted to say something that passed my mind. You said they were in a lot of different "universes" or settings and that made me think we should let you know that seventeen doesn't do the whole storyline thingy in MVs. Like there is darling (and some people believe that Fear is connected too), but aside from that the videos are just following the cincept of the song. So you'll never need to push yourself too hard into understanding the connections to the lore, but on the other hand there are a lot of interesting details that help express the meaning of the song better.

11:09 don’t worry about storyline in their MV’s hahaha they sometimes do have like a little reference of other MV’s but is like background like the circular stairs that kinda looks similar of the ones in Fear imo Although they have like 3 songs that refer to other 3 songs Adore U - ‘Bout You Don’t Wanna Cry - Lie Again Fear - Fearless Like those reference a little part of the lyrics to the other (the ones from the right reference to the ones on the left) The only thing similar to a storyline or universe is Going Seventeen 💀 but bc they reference jokes from like episodes of almost 2 years ago or something, their lore is their daily lives 😭 Is like they can make a joke, comments of possible funny content, do a character, or like one time did a funny VCR for their anual Fanmeeting, to later being turned into an entire episode 😭🤣🤣

Oh nw you really don't need to go in order. Seventeen MVs are a lot more flexible than, say, ATEEZ where you're gonna be even _more_ confused if everything is out of order. Just a reminder: their early MVs are _dicey af_ copyright-wise. Adore U, Mansae, Pretty U, and Aju Nice all tend to get strikes now (so does Q&A, a sub-unit song with Ailee) unless you get creative with watermarks/blurring/etc. Timestamps are a good compromise but actually, the few times you played the little clip helped a lot too! I didn't need to check, my brain just immediately knew where you were in the choreo.

haha nooo it's not as random as you think. my logic is: my comment on line dancing made you think of swing dancing and then home;run?! they're very similar styles so it's natural for your brain to make that connection. i'm excited to see it!! i've never done swing dancing but i love watching videos and always wanted to try it.

Don't understand the point of taking notes while the video is playing and just missing details. Why not just watch it multiple times, perhaps first time all the way through and then pause to talk about details on the second watch

Hi! Thanks for your suggestion! I've tried pausing the video to discuss my comments in the past and it doesn't work well for me. As soon as I pause the video my thoughts "pause" too. It's like when you walk into a room and forget why you're there.
