B_12 thank you, great deal!
I bought the 8” version of these for two of my vehicles and love them. The smaller size made it easy to put in the corner of the trunk in one car and under the storage shelf in another to keep luggage and storage space. I see a lot of folks on YT are just tapping into existing speakers and not using the remote but I have an aftermarket head unit so I ran the RCAs and remote wire. I’m no bass head so I can’t compare it to the trunk fillers/rattlers some folks love but personally I’m very satisfied and they definitely make a difference.
Man, it's rare to find an installer like this who pays attention to all the little details. I used to do installs 15 years ago. I've done amp installs here and there for my cars but haven't done one in few years. I've never seen a fuse holder mounted like that before. Great, superb, clean install.

Wow great install @fivestarcarstaereo! I just bought the 12 online and received it in the mail today. Getting installed by a local shop but was cruising reviews for fun. I love how you take the time to give others info and comment back to questions. Good people are still out there! Thanks for being one of them.

mike colletta thank you for watching and the kind words. Enjoy your new sub!
Thank u. For making a video that actually explains the plugs on the box. By far the best video on this speaker on KZread. Every other video on KZread is 50-60% watch me run the power cable.....
Awesome install, I'm getting this done tomorrow, in my LS, hoping it turns out as clean as your install did. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
I got one of these (the 12" version) coming Thursday for my 2011 Ranger extended cab. It's replacing a 13 year old 100 watt 8" powered Bazooka that has developed a short in the female power cable receptacle. Got the whole interior already covered in sound dampening material. I can't wait.
Man, you fly through your installs!!! Seriously though, nice job and cool video.
Another great video from you guys! I have been rocking my 12 for 5 years now!

hey man, I watched this video after I had a stereo install company put mine in, great job, THE ISSUE with this video is that I heard you say you can use the same wiring set up if you need to move it to change it to another size RF say 10 inch. Well I did that and it just cost me 400.00 dollars, when I unpluged the first and plugged in the second one it blew the amp, Thanks much!!!!!!!!
You are a dope installer.

Dean, Would a p300-10 sound decent in a ezgo golf cart or would you recommend a vented enclosure?

I bought the vented enclosure and ended up filling up the aperture with synthetic foam. My advice : get the sealed enclosure, you'll gain extra space and the sound is much better with this series
nice clean install,great vid,thanks ,😁
good vid, i'm dying to install one of these until i get my full system up and running. i'm planning a big system but i need some temporary sub bass,
I NEVER run RCA next to or with the power and ground. That being said I liked the way you installed it. Personally I pull out seats and carpet up and run power and RCAs on opposite sides of vehicle I noticed when ran together a hum or buzz in background

Question : what have you used as far as a bracket or clamp down to keep the Punch from moving on other cars?
Is there any repair information available for the amp section of these subs? Mine stopped working without blowing any fuses after about a year of use.
Perfection as always
Any input on running two of the 10" units in a Foxbody Mustang, over 1 12"? The two 10", would fit perfectly between the rear shock towers...
Do you happen to know where I can get the power input connector and the line in with rca?
When using high level input into the sub is it mandatory to use right and left speaker leads?
Is it possible to disassemble the housing on the wired remote and install it in the extra dash slots to look a little cleaner up front?
Quick question, would I be able to disconnect the power & audio cables from this sub enclosure and take the sub out of the car when I need to transport big items? Someone once said the power cables would start a fire if I turned the car on with them not connected to a sub so I just want to make sure I heard correctly...
Could I use the same door to hook up the high signal input or would I have to tap to each door
Hi, great video! I’m adding the 10” to a 2016 Acura TLX. Two questions: are you saying I don’t need to buy a separate kit to connect the factory sub wires to the rca outputs, I can just splice them? Second, can I use the smart turn on feature instead of running a remote wire or do I still need a remote?
Just curious about where you set the low pass x-over for the sub? What level of Hz do you normally set the low pass x-over for the Rockford p300-10 ? Also, where do you set the low pass x-over for the Rockford p300-12? (Assuming an aftermarket head unit that can act as a crossover for 4 aftermarket 6.5" coaxials in the doors) I assume setting the x-cover no higher than 120 Hz? So, turn the x-over knob to the 11:30 o'clock position?
Can you use wires after factory amp to factory sub for input on this box even tho it's only one and no left or right?
How does that power adapter come out? I have the same sub but there are times when I'd like to take it out to make room for the third row seats. Does it just pull out? I don't want to have to remove all the wiring just to take the box out from time to time.
Great video! I just recently purchased the P300-12 in my 2002 monte Carlo SS with aftermarket radio and wanted to ask if it's necessary to adjust any of the settings on the Sub, Specifically the gains?
Isnt it bad to run the rca wires with the power wire along the side panels? Wont it create noise distortion?
Question Regarding the p300-10 ; when I hooked up the 3-10 positive wire to the battery the car would not start..unhook the positive wire car started. In the on or accessory position I do get a blue light at the amp . I ground the amp to a spot in the trunk..could this be my problem??? A bad ground??? Any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you.
I have really enjoyed your videos in preperation for the arrival of my 12t. I purchased a copper covered aluminum kit with 6.7 mm diameter power and ground. Is this overkill? Thanks for your time!
Hello, my Rockford Fosgate P300-10 when the Auto Turn On is set to auto there is a loud bass noise when I turn off my car, but when it is set to DC 12v there is a loud bass noise when I start the car. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord Sport with a stock stereo. We spliced the back speakers’ wire and connected the sub to the splice wire. We also noticed the when the sub is set on auto will power on if we move the sub. Do you have any idea what could be causing the noise?
Would I need an loc to hook this up to the stock head unit of the 10th gen civic? It’s the 7” touch screen. Should I tap into the front or rear speakers?
Does that big 3 prong connector have an adapter on it? I lost my original harness that came with mine. So if i can get an adaptor i can just make a harness,?
Does it have to be factory speakers to hook it to? Or can you also use aftermarket speaker for hookup to turn on the amp? I'm confused
Might be a dumb question, but what gauge speaker wire do I need to use for a High Level hookup with the p300-12? Doing this for a friend in his Lincoln MKX using factory radio, tapping into his rear speakers
Whats the difference other than its size? Does sound really change between the 2? I noticed that their specs are about the same. Need help deciding which one to get. I do listen to all kinda of music if that helps. Thanks!!
I just busted my speakers the other day by them going too loud. Its the exact one from the install. I've had them for 4 years and love them. Is this something i can change out myself? I was going to start by changing the red fuses? Tear
Hello there I just got the P300-10 an got a LOC to hook it all up It’s a 2012 dodge journey was wanting any help thanks
im wondering how can I set up the gain the x-over and the bass boost for maximum power and better performance. can you give me a tip? I set up my factory radio with the bass level in the minimum volume, my p300-12 rockford fosgate Gain is in the minimum Level my x-over is right in the middle and finally my Bass Boost is all the way up to the maximum volume. can you tell me if I got it right? thank you
Do you think this would fit behind the seat of a 13 crew cab F-150?
The 12 fits in the back of my wrangler TJ barely. But I want bass. Would the ten be ok? A little more room. The 12 fits. The 12 is just as expensive as the 10 on amazon now. Would the 12 sound worse than the 10 within the confines of the 2 door wrangler? what about the top off summer pumpin? Would you say, just get the 12?
I have the exact sub through the factory Harmon Kardon system in my Mercedes. What are the recommended settings for this speaker? I have the three switches set according to what you just explained, but you didn't explain the dials. It seems like the bass has sounds that aren't hitting like they do in headphones, so something isn't set right. Can you help me out?
How much does this job cost and if I want to hook it up on my stock radio, here in CA....
Do I need to disconnect the battery to unplug it so I don't cause a short or anything?
For a Chryaler 300s you guys recommend the 10" or the 12"? The factory 8" beat by Dr dre is not enough
I installed one of these and tapped into the rear existing 6x9’s and used a LOC. I’m confused because the amp will flash blue then turn off and stay off and flash blue again
Love your videos guys. I'm installing a p300 12 in my wife's 13 ford edge with the Sony system. Do I need an lc2i? Or can I just use the regular fosgate input. And also what would be the best input to tap into? The factory sub? Thanks guys
I just installed this and tapped into the suggested front right speaker wires. Everything looks good. Sub works but it barely hit... Im mean BARELY hits. I have to put my ear over the port to actually hear it. I have played with the settings, phase shifter, gain on unit, bass boost on unit, gain control knob via remote. This is the second pair of speaker wires I have tapped into and its the same. What am I doing wrong? It almost sounds like zero bass has been added, but I can hear it firing.
You just help Rockford sell another one, great review... Looking to fit into a Hybrid Toyota C-HR, I believe 300 rms / 30 amp is the maximum for a hybrid. Rockford do not give the specific amp details for the box on their web site, but assume it will run OK without affecting the Hybrid system.

Hi. Can you do an installation video for this subwoofer on a 2017 kia forte? Thanks
What if I would like to run to or 3 of them can that be done the same as running 2 or more amps
I’m installing this with an LOC90 . It has a remote wire . If I connect the remote wire. Do I leave the AUTO TURN ON “REM”, “DC OFFSET”, or Auto ?
I bought one of these, the 12-inch version several years ago. It performs many times better than expected. Recently the wires on the back of the speaker have became detached and I can't repair it. The amp is still good and I would like to find a replacement 12-inch speaker to put in there but the hole for the speaker is slightly smaller in diameter than a regular 12. does anybody have any recommendations for a speaker I can put back in there?
how is it compared to the pioneer TS-WX70DA in a Suv like that?
Good stuff! Wgen making the harnesses, is there any concern with "noise" from running power and RCA together?
Does anyone know if the p500-12 can be interchanged with these? I have the p300-12 and was considering upgrading.
I just got mine yesterday (p300-12). Will install this on my 98 oldsmobile this weekend. I'm using an aftermarket head unit (jvc kd330)...pretty excited. :)

I haven't had the time to install the p300 yet. I'd probably install it when I get back from vacation. I'll keep you posted. Engine sound (humming) while playing music with a sound set up is more often an alternator problem or open/ grounded wiring somewhere. Power lines should run along the driver side, audio lines should run along the passenger side.

Alex Alonso I just finished with my install today. Mine didn't had any humming sound while playing any music. The p300-12 sounds pretty good, just enough not be a douche to your neighbors peace and quite space. 😊

Kwik Silber thank you for your info, i fix my problem! Was my factory amp of my car for some stupid reason the factory think is a good idea to bring inside the cabin an Exhaust sound from all the speakers and of course when I installed the p300-12 that exhaust sounds when way to loud from the subwoofer amp! So I find the wire in the stock amp and I cut that bitch off! Right after that was like magic!! No more exhaust sounds! Thank you again for writing me back!
How do you open one of these?!? And what tools do I need. I need to open and switch my broken amp
hey, I have a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander and i wanted to add a sub. My options are either the P300 10T or the P300 12T. I dont want to take up much space as its a family car and we need all the space we can get. The factory Speaker provide quite alot of bass but i was wondering about the main difference between the 10 and 12. I mainly listen to Rap and some sad music with some low end bass. I dont want something that will rattle windows and make the car rattle/squeak. Whats my best option. Thanks. Not sure if youll see this message.
How much more powerful and loud is the 12 inch compared to the 10 inch?
whats the diff between base knob and the gain switch
Does this subwoofer give good bump without rattling the whole car?
Thanks so much for this near step-by-step on install, I just did everything you showed in the video to install my p300-12, and it all looks super clean thanks to your demonstration. I was wondering if you could comment on where you attached your ground to the vehicle since you had such a short lead coming out of the end of your harness. Thanks again!
Can you take out the subwoofer and put it in a custom box and wire it to a whole separate amp?
Does this box have a way to be mounted? It looks like it would move about as you are driving.
Excelent vídeo men ! Congratulations !

I'm looking to add a Rockford p300-12 to factory radio in a 2007 Nissan Sentra (6 speakers, non-Rockford). I see PAC has an amplifier integration interface/adapter (part: AOEM-NIS2) that should allow me to use low level/RCA inputs. However the details for that adapter AOEM-NIS2 on PAC's website state it only supports Sentra's from 1995 - 2006. Do you know if AOEM-NIS2 adapter can be used for a 2007 Sentra? Or is there a different interface I should check out? Or... am I limited to using high level inputs & tapping the speaker wires if I want to keep the factory radio?

whats the weight of this full package?
Is it the same sub as a P3?
can you guys please please please give longer listening demos. EVEN USE CRAPPY ROYALTY FREE IF YOU HAVE TO. It makes a big difference in the enjoyment of your videos, we watch you put so much hard work and then don't even barely get to hear anything!
If I put one of these in my car with the stock stereo, should I use a line out converter and go with low level input or use high level? Your advice would be appreciated
@dan665_
4 жыл бұрын
Low level inputs usually have higher quality, but coming out of a stock head unit, there really won't be any difference. Use a hi/lo converter if you want to have an adjustable bass knob. If you're fine with using the head unit to control bass for all speakers at once, then you won't need a converter. I know I'm a year late but I hope I could help.
Any audio upgrade for 8th gen Maxima
Would either of those fit a 3rd row tahoe
I have a question about one of the materials used in this install video... what is the "velcro like" tape that you used to bundle & wrap the wiring harnesses together in this video below? (at around 3:05 in the video, you use electrical tape & some other sort of tape to wrap/bundle the wiring together... before you start using the flex tube) Can you tell me what that other "velcro like" tape is?
