Still bumping exact same model in my daily driver. Bought one 10 punch hx2 in a virtual technologies box in 2002. Still sounds amazing. 300cx kicker driving it. Barely tickling the joint. Good video. Thx for sharing

I just picked up a Rockford fosgate hx2 15” for 65$ at a pawnshop and it bangsss, powered by sundown 3500, next is a custom box, still bangs in a prefab

@@rashadwingfield6111nice. I got mine back in like 2002 or 3 @ $300 for the pair from my ex's uncle. They're gonna last you a lifetime.

I was recently given a pair of these in d2, from my little brother. The Previous owner beat the snot out of them, fried leads on one of them, and the coil separated from the former on the other one. I will eventually get them fixed for nostalgic reasons.

@@93dajjdg I just did. I am currently running a pair of 06 era RE Audio sx10d4s my next set up, just waiting for my enclosure to be built, will be a pair of 02 Rockford Fosgate built MB Quart pwe302s. I found them about a year ago as new dead stock, and could not pass them up.

@@93dajjdgif you ever have to take them out the box again leave them in the sun for a little while (a few hours) it’ll warm up that surround and make it more pliable

How many watts was each sub getting? I’m looking at getting a pair and I really like the SQ in that box. Do you have the specs of that enclosure? I’m thi😢it’s about 1.5 each side tuned to? I’m guessing 35hz ?

Hello and thanks for watching. OK for your first question, the Crown XLS 202 was wired to run at 4ohms for the video,@ 4 ohms the XLS 202 is rated @ 300 watts per channel. So my guess is the HX2’s were receiving no more then 300 watts or close to it. I never bench tested the Crown XLS 202 to see if it does it’s rated power but Crown is a respectable company. For the second question as far as specs on the box, I can give you an outer dimension size which is 32wide x 14.25deep x 12.25tall and the port size is 2.875wide x 10.63tall x 10.25 deep. I believe box is 1.1 cubic feet per chamber. I believe you can still find this exact box on Amazon, search under dual 10 ported subwoofer box, I believe Q power is the brand. As far as what the box is tuned @ I did a quick google search on the q power box and found it’s tuned to 41hz. Again thanks for watching and if you haven’t already please like and subscribe.🔊🔊🔊

That’s a hard question to answer, the best answer I can give you would be to try to purchase something that does its rated power, I would say minimum 500 watts rms for the HX2. Try to purchase a mono amp at the top of your budget, I do believe in life you get what you pay for. Also whatever you decide to get make sure the amp is tuned so no clipped signal shortens the life of your classic subs. IV got a pair of these subs my buddy gave them to me they hit perty hard. If you ever buy a pre fab box again skar , q bomb or down 4sound boxes are going to be your best bet for sounding right and tuned some what low🎶💯👍✌️👌🍻🎶

I had two 12s in a sealed box these HX2s a long time ago I don't know what Rockford fosgate did with these subs but they pound I was only giving them 250 watts a piece from a Rockford fosgate punch amp
