I like how the line sounds different after you watch volume 3 cus he could be saying "i lost the only family i ever had" referring to the guardians hence why he lists them, or he could be saying "i lost the only family i ever had" referring to Lyla and the others before listing the guardians he's also lost as additional people he lost, ORRR he could be saying "i lost the only family i ever had" referring to both groups before listing the guardians so as to specify them and to avoid mentioning or making people suspect the other half of his family that he lost

As if hurting someone would bring them out of a panic attack. I understand it's meant to be a joke, but I hate it when movies and TV shows turn real mental illness problems into something to be laughed at, I think it really sends the wrong message to young people watching who haven't dealt with that stuff and know no better. I still love these movies and characters regardless though. Edit: only point I’m trying to make is that I wish more modern movies would put RESPECTFUL depictions of mental illness in their movies instead of just making a joke out of it. If some people find that dark humor helpful to them, then great! I just think it’s difficult to find media which approaches the topic maturely.
@Random_dud31

@TriggerHappy To play devils advocate, it kinda makes sense why everyone in the MCU was harsh or made fun of Thor. In that universe, EVERYONE lost someone they deeply care about. Its kinda hard to help a person in depression when you are also fighting true it. Everyone in that world has a trama, so it kinda does make sense why its hard for anyone to help him
This feels weird yet mind opening and heart breaking to re watch this again after watching Vol3 That movie really explains why Rocket got a HUGE IQ for someone who's extremely angry and gets to be one who relates with people who lost everything. His emotional pep talk with Thor got me unexpectedly. After knowing that the Guardians were all he had after losing his cage friends.. it’s just so touching. Tough love for sure but you can tell he really cares, about everyone. I would love for Rocket and Thor to see each other again, they had really good chemistry.
3:35 i honestly dont really get why people thought he was being an ahole when he said that before vol 3 came out. i agreed with that statement from the start and it just shows how much he actually cares for the guardians. plus he's right, just cause someone went through trauma doesnt mean they have to or can put others through it too.
3:02 it always kills me when he imitates the collector's hand movement.

You remember that one scene in gotg ii where him and Yondu have that talk. How they're basically the same. Yondu literally tears his external walls down, revealing who Rocket is deep down for the first time ever. Yondu seems to be hostile at first, but he understands Rocket. He sympathizes with Rocket. 3:11 is the most human reaction rocket has ever had 😂
I like how 3:29 and 9:47 parallels to each other. In the first one Rocket has no idea what Drax has been through, but in the second scene he understands why it’s so hard for Thor to get it together. In both of the scenes Rocket is trying to teach them a lesson even if he can come off as harsh sometimes.

Watching this makes Rocket's journey as a hero really noble and cool in retrospect, even though he's a professional asshole. I'm 100% convinced that he should be the captain of the Guardians, not Quill nor Thor. He's the most mature and level headed at the end of endgame.
