Totally agree- the emerald looked perfect standing on its own without all that gingerbread diamonds around it.

The Rockefeller Emerald was better in the simpler platinium setting! But no worries, there are loads of New Money people who will be more than happy to spend that kind of money on a ..... coctail ring ... Great video, thanks for upload 😊

My favorite was the reset of the emerald ring, followed by the necklace of Happy Rockefeller, the color combination was amazing.

The peridot suite has got to be the most beautiful and elegant jewelry I've ever seen. I can't imagine being that wealthy and wearing something so exquisite

That's some Asscher cut emerald, so beautiful.

The Rockefeller Sapphire was beautifully reset. The Rockefeller Emerald, reset by Winston, not so much. It looked better in the Platinum setting. That last Rockefeller pearl pendant was extraordinary. And I forgot John D Rockefeller was a Vice President. But that was a very short Presidency under Ford.

350k is a price for Peridot suite. Peridots are not so expensive gemstones

You would think he would at least make an attempt to pronounce the jewelers' names correctly. Do your research, man! It's a downer to have to cringe whilst looking at such gorgeous gems.

Do some research and don't rely on your personal bias. You will find immense philanthropy from John D to his son Junior, and the five brothers, the sons of Junior and their sister, surpassing nearly every immensely wealthy family in America. Look at the University of Chicago, Rockefeller University, famed in medical research, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, several parks given to the American people, and on and on. Were the Rockefellers perfect? WHO is? But corrupt they were not. @@MissMarquise

No, I fully agree with Celine. When you wear 4 or 5 stunning rings, you keep your fingers simple to emphasize their beauty. You don’t wear a 2 or 3 color manicure, it ruins the effect.

I like his accent, but that doesn't excuse mispronouncing someone's name. Since Van Cleef & Arpels and Jean Schlumberger are French it should be Ar-pehlz and Zhan Slumberzhay (my attempt at phonetics!). Still it was a nice video and wonderful to see all those fantastic jewels! 😃

the jewels are amazing. But did any of the owners manage to take them or any of their $$$ to the "other side" after their death? I'm not jealous, I just wonder what goes on in the head of someone who spends millions on a stone while children in their own country can't afford cancer treatment, basic surgeries or 3 warm meals a day.....

The charming fellow who is narrating should have been coached on how to pronounce jewelry terms and names. It’s rather disconcerting to hear common terms so miss spoken. However, his dulcet tones would be better set in discussing other subjects.

What a terrible narration. I can only hope it’s an artificial narration. No real narrator could make mistakes and not go back and correct.

Can’t compliment the Rockefeller taste, as these are almost all *very* unattractive pieces. Especially bad are the strange thick bracelets (too bad they aren’t gorgeous Art Deco pieces), the peridot color and the uninspired parure design, and the several garish gemstone necklaces . . .
